Okay guys, I finally finished my setup! First of all, thanks to everyone on this thread for giving such great tips and advise ;)

I don't care if you see me, but I have blacked out the other pictures. Expect for the one of my doggie, I don't think he cares about internet privacy :)

I am using Launcher Pro and a couple different Icon Packs. Here's my AppBrain list. One of the really cool things I did was change the middle button on the LP Dock button from the App Drawer to open to My Settings instead. Then I created a seperate folder for all my apps (rarely need to go in there so I didn't want it on the dock).

Home Screen: Picture Frame (stock), Weather Widget and Battery Left.

Man, I am still having trouble changing the dock icons. I downloaded a few icon packs and I downloaded bettercut, but I'm still not getting it. Any help would be appreciated.

See... now you are trying to get all complicated on us :D

In order to change the dock icons, Launcher Pro has to access them from your photo files, it won't pull them from the /apk (aka - the app). So you have to copy them over to your DCIM folder.

Here's a complete walkthrough, with pictures and everything. VERY detailed, this guy did an awsome job. Check it out (yes, I realize it's on the X forums but it is the exact same process for the DINC):

EDIT - Forgot to mention something. You only need to do Section 1 now. This was written before Launcher Pro added the ability to change the icon from the dock.

So do everything in Section 1 so that your icons show up in the pictures folder.

From there, long press on the dock icon you want to change and you will see an option Change Icon. Click that. Now click on Custom Icon. Choose Photos, then All Photo's (that's where your icons will be). Select the one you want and that's that. It's changed.

Had my Dinc for about 2 months now, and finally got into customizing it. And I rooted it today, so i figured I'd share my screens. :)

Comments are appreciated.

EDIT: Also, anyone have a good idea for a widget that will fill the big hole between my clock and bottom row apps? I thought about the stock music widget, but it doesn't look right. Are there any other good clean looking music widgets out there?

Does anyone in this thread keep their layout the same for more than a couple weeks? I am constantly changing it wondering if I will ever find something I can stick with. :)

My layout stays the same, I am very happy with it. I do change out my wallpaper every few days just to switch it up.

Here's my layout:

Be jealous. Haha, only kidding. As you can tell I love my theme to match the colors of the DINC, red and black all the way!

Looks red! You ought to get switchpro and use red color at bottom and get a weather widget with red in it to complete the look! :p Nice!

How about "ChompSMS Big"?

Got tired of all the clutter widgets so I simplified... Here's my new layout:

I know this is my layout but could anyone get me the apk with all the sense standard wallpapers? I rooted my Dinc with the CM6 ROM and lost all the Sense wallpapers.

You didn't lose them. They're just on the internal memory. You can move them in root explorer if you go to the root directory (the actual root not the directory called "root") then go to /emmc, and move them from there to your SDcard.

You may have to mount internal storage in order to do that. I don't recall. Just search the incredible development forum over at XDA for how to mount internal storage and you'll find the script.

You need to root your phone and install either Jonnybueno or Prodigy2007's red theme. You would definitely enjoy that.

As far as your layout, though, where did you get those icons? They're pretty snazzy.

So, since there are at least a dozen posts in this thread asking about red icons with no responses, I did some digging and found a few icon packs that have some potential. I haven't successfully found 3D black and red icons, which is what I was looking for, but these are pretty nice.

Is it possible to use icon packs with LauncherPro+? I'm kind of new to the whole customizing on the Android platform. :/

I have the MBlend Red Icon Pack and love them, but there are not that many. I need more red ones :)

Both the icons on the dock and the homescreen icons I actually custom made out of already existing launcher pro icons because I couldn't find what I was looking for on the net. No icon packs here :)

Yes and no. You can manually change the icons in the dock of launcher pro, and using another app like bettercut, folderorganizer, or anycut you can change icons on your desktop to whatever you like.

Is the only way to install icons is to use something like Open Home or Better Cut?

That or folder organizer. Unless you want to root your phone and manually edit the application files. It's actually not that difficult to do. I'd recommend doing some research before you go screwing with the .apk files though :)

Alright. Decided to change it up a bit. A little steampunk fun.

LauncherPro, Beautiful Widgets, and some custom icons.

I absolutely love this! Where did you get the icons and background and how do you get the icons to work? Is that what LauncherPro does?

Sorry if this is a noob question but I'm just getting started in modding my Incredible.

I got the icons from the Rusty Metal dxtop theme: dxTop Theme: Rusty Metal - Android app on AppBrain

I had to manually pull the icons out of the theme's .apk file and save them to a folder on my SD Card. I believe you have to be rooted to access the file, though. Once I pulled the file I just use 7zip to extract the images. It's not too complicated.

The background was one I found on google images that I resized.

I actually use FolderOrganizer to assign the icons to different folders. I think you can do it with the free version, AppsOrganizer as well, but you can't put folders within folders using that, plus I love the app and wanted to donate to the developer so I bought the paid version.

Each one of those icons in the launcher dock opens up a folder with a list of apps inside it. Once you assign the apps and icons to the folders the way you want within FolderOrganizer, you use LauncherPro to assign FolderOrganizer Label shortcuts. It's pretty easy. You just long press on the icon in the dock, select shortcut, then select FolderOrganizer Label.

The wood shelf dock background I found on the LauncherPro forums and the BeautifulWidget skin is available for download from within the application.

I hope that helps. You can PM me if you have any other questions. Also, now that I think of it, those Rusty Metal icons are probably available on the XDA forums if you search hard enough. You'd be able to get them without rooting your phone if you get them there.

I'm just getting into Launcherpro myself. I like being able to customize my pages, but I'm wondering where everybody is getting their custom docks and icons from...
