Let's see your "Incredible" layout (Pun intended)

Why is this so addicting lol! Somehow with this layout I feel like an executive :p Cheers to the guys over in the EVO forums as this is where I got the idea thanks evo guys! This is my unrooted Inc update 2.1.

Widget Locker lockscreen with digital clock widget, customized slider with handcent icon made by folder organizer, battstat battery widget, and switch pro.

Home screen is launcher pro (2 docks with notification bar hidden) using launcher pro icon pack ($1 in market) and dock thanks LP gurus (all notifications work properly)! Time is Tajm widget, with battstat, and weather bug small. The black icons in the dock all pull up folder organizer windows with the prog's I use most often works very well.

2nd screen is Agenda Widget scrollable transparent and switchpro.

My icons glow red when focused and turn neon green when pressed!

how exactly did you get the lil message bubble between your Lock/Silence buttons? Also, the switchpro widget...how did you get that on the home screen (without unlocking it). Is it still functional without the unlock? Mine also looks quite different...are there skins for Switchpro?

If this is all a function of widgetlocker, I'm going to feel stupid as I downloaded it but haven't played around with it enough.

Also ...is the only way to get more than 2 sliders (such as the user with the camera and handcent sliders) without being rooted?

Sorry for all the noob questions.

Since this thread seems to be where the widget kings and queens hang out I'll drop this question here:

Does anyone have a decent, free widget that will toggle 3G (mobile network under settings) on/off? My workplace is a 3G deadzone so I need to turn it on/off frequently to save the battery...a widget would make this process a little easier.

I don't know of a free one that will toggle 3G on/off without going into mobile data settings first, but there might be one. However, for .99 cents you can get switchpro and have the single toggle which works quite well. Or you can do what billythekid said.

I still haven't figured out what it means to "focus" an icon. I just made my "focus" and "press" the same color. If I barely touch the icon, it counts as a press and I can't highlight an icon with the optical joystick. What does it mean to "focus?"

By "focused" in LP it means when you use your optical pad on the Inc to navigate/scroll through the screen icons/widgets etc...

focus = highlight with optical pad/scroll

Weird you can't highlight an icon with your optical pad  hmmm

For your 1st question: ;)

Number 2: refer to the little blue guy ^

3: yup

4: yes 3 skins within the pro version naked, translucent, and regular

and 5: you can do this in Widget Locker

Hope this helps :D

Okay guys, I finally finished my setup! First of all, thanks to everyone on this thread for giving such great tips and advise ;)

I don't care if you see me, but I have blacked out the other pictures. Expect for the one of my doggie, I don't think he cares about internet privacy :)

I am using Launcher Pro and a couple different Icon Packs. Here's my AppBrain list. One of the really cool things I did was change the middle button on the LP Dock button from the App Drawer to open to My Settings instead. Then I created a seperate folder for all my apps (rarely need to go in there so I didn't want it on the dock).

Home Screen: Picture Frame (stock), Weather Widget and Battery Left.

Screen 1 - Jorte.

Screen 2 - Shortcuts from stock.

Screen 3 - Various folders I made (using FolderOrganizer) to organize apps and programs.

Screen 5 - More apps and folders.

Screen 6 - Just some media stuff.

Screen 7 - Picture Frames using stock widget. (Yes, that is Rome! My fiance and I went last summer)

Where did the android icons on the homescreens come from

Ahh some color :p

Tehre are 4 invisible icons to the right and left of the dock. They each pull up a folder organizer window.

Also with the new LPro you can gesture on the icons. My phone icon when swiped up or down opens my app drawer. My contact/people icon is my favorites, but when swiped it opens my phone book.

Launcher Pro has really come a long way and I've had 0 FC's thanks fede.

since when can u gesture on the icons? where is that option? i have the paid version

Thanks. I appreciate the help. After you verified that "focused" does, indeed, pertain to the use of the optical pad, I was able to find the setting in "Preferences" to allow me to...focus.

Posted this in the LP thread in the X board:

What Terabethia said ;) and it's awesome!!!

I have 3 visible icons on my homescreen yet I can launch 10 different apps making my minimal layouts more minimal yay! :D

I am quite sure this has been asked and answered here already, but how would I embed my screenshots into my post? I only know how to attach them. :o

Upload them to an image hosting website (photobucket, imageshack, etc.), then enter the link to the screenshot provided by your image hosting site by clicking the "insert image" button in the post editing screen. (it looks like two mountains).

You mean so that they are not clickable?

I use photobucket. Upload your picture and click on "generate HTML codes". From there it gives you like 6 different codes. For this place I only need to use the URL and put it into the picture link since this forum codes everything for you.

Thanks to you both!!!!
Exactly what I needed!!!

Thanks for this. Didn't know the translucent skin would change the look so drastically with switchpro, ha.

Only other question I have would be if you have Widgetlocker, how can you put an Icon between your Unlock/Silence slider? I can do it with the custom slider (camera/handcent, etc), but I can't do it with the Unlock/Silence one as the "trash" is located in that position.

PB&J Vanilla 2.2 -- one homescreen, three docks.

No problem. I think I understand you here and I'll give it a shot: choose "No Slider" under "Look and Feel" and then add your own customized slider with whatever shortcuts in the middle or even in the sliders themselves you would like. Does that make sense? ;)

So nobody uses Sense anymore?

I never did use it :D I received the phone, charged it up, downloaded App Brain App and then downloaded Launcher Pro. I saw Sense for about 10 minutes.

I did a ton of research on the phone before I received it (what else do you have to do while waiting a month? ;)) and decided before I even received it that I don't care for the look of the Sense dock. It's big and clunky looking and not customizable at all.

LP runs very smooth for me, no lag at all. It looks a lot nicer (IMO) than the Sense UI. I can make it do anything I want. So no sense for me!
