Lets Talk About how Perfect the 4.3in Screen Size Is

Seriously. When I first decidedvon it i was thinking it might be overkillThe screen size on the evo is perfect; Id maybe want to try something a tad bigger given the experience with the evo, like say that new sammy infuse with 4.5. The 4.3 is great. I later bought the epic 4g and figured its a "big" screen, should be fine but that .3 of an inch really makes a difference.

What are your thoughts? Maybe bigger? Smaller? Also, the new evo is to be the same size, right?

Agreed, 4.3 is the ideal screen size, imo. I cannot wait to see it on the EVO 3D in qHD! :-)
Correct, the EVO 3D is 4.3 inches, although the aspect ratio has changed. It's more widescreen friendly, I guess you could say.. similar to a wide screen TV. It's slightly narrower and slightly taller.
 
I personally like a 3.7" over the 4.3". It's just.... it's nice for watching videos or what have you, but it's just BIG. Good and bad. The 3.7" screen is literally just THAT median size that's just right. Not too outlandish for your pocket, not so small it creates problems playing games or videos.


Not bashing the screen size too hard, but it's just big. I find it tolerable, but a lot of people don't. (I've watched a guy make a phone call on a Dell Skid-mark *oops*-- Dell Streak. That was quite humorous to watch. It was like watching someone mash a tablet to their face. He held it up with both hands. XD Many lols were had with me and my friends.)
 
I love the screen size of my Evo 4G, but think the phone overall is just perfect. I'd be willing to try a 4.5 screen but fear the device it's on may be a tad too big.
 
I had a Samung Moment with a 3.2" screen. That screen felt so small I hated it after a while.

Then I upgraded to the Evo, and I fell in love with the awesome 4.3" screen. I also have the Samsung Epic with the 4" screen, but I always love Evo screen due to it's slightly bigger screen.

I love my Evo so much...I used my upgrade last Nov. I will stay with my Evo for another year and half til my next upgrade next Nov in 2012. I'm that satisfied with my Evo.
 
It's perfect for watching TV, movies, sports. And then you can still put it away in your pocket.
 
I like it. I actually have smallish hands for a guy and I have no issues holding/using it and the screen is beautiful for consuming media or surfing the web. Its also the first screen-only keyboard I like. There is plenty of space on the screen for the keys.

My girlfriend even loves hers. The only downside is it doesnt fit in the pockets of womens jeans (guys jeans are fine) but she typically carries a purse so its in there.

The only way I would want a bigger screen is if they could put it in a similar size chassis. I would love to see this be as big as the body gets and the bezels just keep shrinking and the screen getting wider (in landscape).

You def get used to it. Now my parent's iphone screens just seem puny.
 
I do like the the 4.3 screen size of my Evo but I wouldn't mind something a bit bigger. I have already been privileged enough to play with the Samsung Infuse and the device/screen size feels similar to my Evo. I actually wouldn't mind a 5" screen I think I would be set at that point
 
I actually wish the Evo 3d was going to keep the aspect ratio of our Evo's. I have used a friends Droid X several times and I just dont like the longer yet skinny screen. I prefer the wider screen.

I am curios to play with the new Samsung Infuse. I think the whole device size is important. I like the small bezel the Evo has. It seems like samsung put a small bezel on the infuse also.

Its amazing how small the 3.5 inch screen seems now that i have been using the 4.3 for a while. I really dont even consider a phone with less than 4.3 as an option anymore. Even the 4 inch screens dont seem big enough anymore. This Evo has spoiled me.
 
4.3 is perfect, no bigger. And I wouldn't want anything smaller.

I was thinking it would be nice to have something smaller to fit in my pocket, but I was playing with a buddies iphone and now I'm thinking my screen is just right. Ill just have to get baggier jeans.
 
I'd like to see a 4.5" screen Evo - with the screen going all the way to the edge. Make the WHOLE face screen aside from the speakers. Even the soft buttons could be part of the screen. Pretty much just like it is now with less matte around the screen.
 
I'm just worried down the road they'll make the screens smaller as sales might not be that high for our larger screens. I don't want to go back to a smaller screen.
 
I like the size of the Dell Streak myself, at 5 inches. Though I'm a huge person so it doesn't look as ridiculous when I use it.

I am keeping my Evo for portability and 80-90% of my needs. I have been eyeballing all the tablets that are now showing up. I am almost there on just using a tablet instead of my notebook.
 
I personally love the size of the evo. I still use my ipod touch from time to time and it takes a while to get used to the tiny screen again. I will never go to a screen smaller than 4 inches.
 
The only time I find myself wishing the phone was smaller is when making a call while I don't have a bluetooth headset handy. My girlfriend's DInc just feels so much nicer to make calls on. That said, I don't talk enough without a bluetooth to let it bother me enough that I would want to downgrade in size.
