Let's talk cases for the HTC EVO 3D.

Seidio sent me an Inncoase Active to review and I posted it on here. I highly recommend it I love it. I so wish there was an Active case with a kickstand but only there Innocase has the kickstand. And the white casemate pop case has the kickstand and I wanted it but my friend saw where you can't charge the phone while it's using the kickstand. :-(

Anyone ever use done of these? ezeStand - The Ultimate Smart Phone Stand
Someone on GoodandEvo said they liked this and I am thinking of maybe trying it.

Or you could make one like I did out of a discarded cigar box I got from work lol

I'm diggin that iCarpus one though

I don't see that on the HTC site, do you have a link for that?

That is so very weird. I picked it up from my closest Best Buy for $59.99, it's the official HTC EVO 3D mount for dashboard or windshield, and it's easily the best constructed phone car mount I've ever seen. It comes with a 3M plastic disc to mount on the dashboard, the dual car charger, and a 6 foot micro USB cable with attached suction cup to keep the bulk of the cable as close to the dashboard as possible.

I don't have any pictures of it right now, but I swear it's real, and it's the official mount from HTC. This is about the only thing I don't like about HTC--finding out any information about official accessories is like looking for Sasquatch.

When I get the chance, I'll post pictures, as I usually keep all the packaging for all my electronics devices.

Someone said the EVO 3D doesn't fully fit inside this bag, that the one end is exposed. Is your experience different? Does it full fit and all covered?

Thanks.
My phone has an OtterBox Commuter on it. So it's a little bit bulkier than a "naked" Evo3D.

I bought two microfiber pouches. The one I linked above for $1.50 from Ebay and the HTC MyTouch 4G Pouch for $6 from Amazon. I have attached 3 images.

I could not even fit the Evo3D into the MyTouch 4G pouch. I think, but I'm not positive, that it would fit without the OtterBox on the phone. It might stick out the top a little bit.

I included a picture of the Evo3D inside the 3DS pouch. Even with the OtterBox on the phone you can see it fits the phone comfortably and there is plenty of room above the phone while it's in the pouch.

Final image is both pouches with phone for size comparison.

Edit: I know my screen is dirty LOL... forgot to clean it for the pictures.

$12 for a glorified chip clip seems over priced, but hey I guess if it does the job. (Though reviews say heavy phones clipped in vertically will wobble.)

Open to other suggestions for a minimal kickstand/tripod solution, if you have them.

I don't know exactly how great it will be for portrait mode, but it seems like it is every bit as capable in landscape mode as the Evo 4G was on its built-in kickstand.

At any rate, I bought the Case Mate Pop! for a quick kick-stand solution and will use the Spiderpodium for a more permanent solution.

I'd rather invest in a multi-purpose cover that's a sturdy case, extended battery cover, and a with a kickstand built in on the opposing camera lense end somewhere. Maybe parallel to the 3D lenses somehow. I know it doesn't exist, but I'd rather pay one price for all of those features on one product, than individual prices for all three products.

I got some generic black silicone on ebay for a few bucks. It covers the camera too so I can sit it down without scratching it.

Normally I don;t even use a case, just a full body invisi shield. But since I am going to get the HTC kickstand when it is released, I didn;t want to waste the money on the full body invisi shield (plus I'm not sure if it's even released yet). I just got the screen protector, and spent a few bucks on the cheap ebay silicon case.

When the HTC kickstand thing comes out, hopefully it is just a new battery cover and not a whole case. If it is just a battery cover, then I'll probably get an invisi shield for it if they make one. If not, then I guess I'll just go naked.

+1 for the OtterBox Commuter which I got in the mail this morning! I love the double layer protection. It feels very solid and I no longer have (as strong an urge) to "baby" my phone anymore lol. The silicone first layer (I believe it's silicone but not 100% sure) is exposed at the short edges of the phone, while the rest is covered by the hard second layer body, which is great for my grip on the phone while I use it in landscape mode. Access and use of the buttons is only slightly compromised, as they are all covered (with the exception of the four touch buttons) by the first silicone layer, and therefore require slightly more pressure to press. However, it's not really a problem at all and I only mention it because it's the only minor problem I can actually find with the case! :) It's not too fat at all, quite attractive IMO actually. If anyone is looking into this case, I highly recommend it!
