Root LFY 1.7 available in ROM Manager

Can't tell you there. I have been running slayhers for a while now and have not had any temp problems. The only temp/battery problem I have ever had was when I installed this rom the first time. Could be your phone though phone. P3s tend to run hotter in my phone so who knows? Others have had heat issues but I don't know if they have resolved them. I picked up my phone this morning and it was idling at 71 degrees. I have not been able to get it above 109 since I reinstalled. I do not know why it worked when I reinstalled but then again I don't know why the lights come on when I flick a switch :D.

Just now streaming South Park in my browser my temp went all the way up to 140 degrees F. For some reason it takes longer for this kernal to respond to my SetCPU profiles. I have it set to go to 600MHz when it reaches 129F but it always goes to 140F before it activates the profile.

Every Droid is different.
 
Did not like this ROM at all. First of all the battery life was terrible for me at 1ghz and also was hot. I also do not like the black accents added to the stock theme.

You might be in the minority here. This is a SOLID rom, excellent battery life (again, battery has to do with kernel, not the rom). Definitely one of the top three roms available for the droid.
 
Does anybody know of just a black bar mod for this ROM? I really just like the stock theme with the transparent widgets, but I'd like the status bar to look something like revolution or black n bold. Any suggestions?:confused:

Have u tried smoked?
 
I had a very hot phone when running Google Maps using the 1100 kernel. I went with the 900 kernel and set the CPU to on demand and it seems to be running much cooler now. When my phone would get that hot the charging would stop too. I would assume it does to reduce the heat. Now that Im running the lower clocked kernel my batter life is WAY better too.
 
Just switched from 1.6 and now I get a force close every time I try to open the gmail app. Anyone else have this problem? Any ideas on how to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.

I also have the blue berry frozen yogurt theme installed.


edit:
I just reinstalled 1.7 without a theme and everything seems to be working fine.

How do you set your phone to go to 600Mhz when it gets to 129F. I assume it is set CPU. Could you please tell me how. Thanks
