Help LG Connect 4G

Nothing its just that it really doesn't work, like the youtube app only works on wifi not 4G also the web browser when I try to go to youtube.com it just keeps in loading but never shows the page, also it lags a lot but the main problem is that it freezes and reboots constantly ... So yeah -_-

My Esteem is running greatt!! No complaints at all. It will take a whole lot of change, on a new phone, for me to actually upgrade. If its not the same screen size, or bigger, Im going nowhere.

Yes I should, the problem started when I rooted my lg esteem then I unrooted it and it still has problems like the youtube app not working on 4G

Seems like you only want to switch over, bc of Youtube. I'm not a big Youtube fan, on the phone, for some reason. Mine is working on 4g, but last month, it wasn't working at all. Didn't really miss it.

I have the $40 plan, which 100MB. YouTube burns that up pretty quick, then won't load on 4G, since I've used all my data. Unless you're on the $60 plan, that may be your issue.

Flashing a ROM may or may not fix your reboot issue, but it's worth a try to figure it out.

What rate plan are you on? If you're not on the 60plan your 4G is capped off.. Or any video streaming sites. You can check your plan and data usage online with metropcs.com. Register online, login if you haven't already and if your not on the 60plan, upgrade if you can to remove the download/streaming cap. Just a thought.

Im on the $50 plan and everything works great youtube even Netflix and crackle with hdmi out put to a big screen ... you should try and to a factory rest that should work the problem out

I did do a factory reset and it still didn't work... I'm on the 60 plan, it worked fine when I bought the phone but once I rooted it the problem started... :( I am unrooted now, and it still doesn't work on 4G.

Does anyone know the exact date it will be coming out? I will be buying it and sadly, retiring my lg esteem.

LG connect will be available for sale the first week of March even available as soon as March 2nd. For $329 no known rebates at this time.

March, huh?

Funny, because the official Metro press release dated Jan 9 said the LG Connect would be "available with the month". Actually said those exact words TWICE in the press release sent to INVESTORS.

We're well past Feb 9.

Guess Metro management has no clue as to how many weeks there are in a month. :p

Yes the LG Connect was actually supposed to be released BEFORE the samsung galaxy attain but for some reason it got pushed back just like other handsets that were released like the esteem. I believe it will be here by March in most, if not all stores. Looking forward to play with it! :D

march 2nd is the release date. i saw a floor model and although its only 0.3" difference in screen size it seems much smaller than the esteem. esteem has great support for root and customization and i am sure the connect will take a long time before it gets there as usual with metro phones. connect has no hdmi either

the way i see it is that with all the upcoming stuff metropcs is planning to launch from volte to uncapping speeds to the new tv streaming feat which samsung claimed to plan on releasing a prestigeous phone to support. metro will have quick changes and new devices coming out every 3 months or so from what i expect. and i would rather wait til they roll out volte to switch out of the esteem. the connect is not worth it and in some ways is a downgrade from the esteem.

what u guys think?

very true enough. if you already have an esteem then its worthless to upgrade to connect. HOWEVER, if you do not have esteem then its good to consider upgrading to LG connect. it has some nice performance hardware, but overall esteem has more features and better FFC.

im going to wait for something REALLY big to upgrade from esteem.

Going to Cost (By my Choice)
$300LG Esteem is better right now cost $300 but i want this phone 4 inches is the prefect screen size for 4.3 too big
LG Connect with 50 dollar rebate 250 they should do that because the dual core processor is fast less memory than the Esteem smaller screen this is prefect for me because i don't overclock that much i under clock for save battery

The connect is out its on metro's site and in stores but not all of them.
Its 349 with a 30 mail in rebate so 319

I don't know if the Metro PCS website is still in the "updating" stage or what, but it's not yet showing discounts (mail-in or instant) for any of the 4G LTE phones (the Esteem is $349 with no discount showing). Will they all be getting just the new $30 mail-in rebate, meaning that the prices in effect have gone up for the Attain and Esteem?

Also, the Connect does appear (at least not yet) as a phone eligible for the $40 4G LTE plan (still only the Esteem and Attain).
