Root LG Esteem Help PLZ

Newbie
Every time I try to get into recovery mode with my esteem I just get a yellow ! mark with the android next to it and I cant get into recovery what am I doing wrong plz help already rooted the phone now I'm trying to install a rom and cant get in to recovery plz plz help thanks.
 
I tried using quick boot+doing it by holding the keys down power and volume +\- and through rom manager same results everytime plus I did the option where it ask you to erase all data by pushing the power button and it erased everything and all my data
 
Im sorry can you tell me what all that is alittle better plz Im kinda new to this sry for being a noob and if there is any links I should follow could you plz post those to not sure what cwr and aio are sry again to be a bother and thanks so much for your help so far

You don't have cwr flashed. That's the stock recovery. Use the AIO.. Rom manager sucks....

Yeah gonna have to use the aio in the guide.
Or find my thread on this page and you can do it through there. It will be touch recovery too.

It's not that ROM manager sucks is that the shit ain't working. How many more times do we have to do this?

No its rom manager. This is the exact reason why I only used RM one time back on the Ascend. It'll download the image which you can find in the clockwork folder but will fail to flash it

Watch do it thru rm but after you "flash" it flash it again before going into and I bet it'll work fine
 
With the ascend and the esteem I've prolly flashed cwm through RM 50 times i would guess and never once had an issue. I love it. Easy to backup and restore with and easy to flash cwm with, when it's not corrupted. Lol
 
This happened to me. When you flash recovery form ROM Manager it gives you two choices - 'LG Esteem 4G' and 'LG Esteem'. Dont choose "LG Esteem 4G' or ull keep getting that problem
 
Ok im going to start fresh I just installed zvd fresh lets do this from the 1st step what program should I use to root that way there will be no mistakes thanks

installing CWMR via ROM Manager should be good now!! ;)
 
Problem Fixed I finally got it to work with alot of trial and error but its working now thanks everyone for all your help
