Root LG Esteem Rooted... Deleting Google Account??

I recently bought a LG Esteem that was already rooted. I have signed into my google account but the previous owners account is still there. Is there anyway to delete it without doing a hard reset and bricking my phone?

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!

i moved you to the lg esteem root section.

doing a factory reset will not brick your phone. you can do it in the phone's settings. i do not have an lg esteem, so i can't say exactly where it can be found.

Thank you very much. Everything I have read or found so far tells me no matter what, do not do a factory reset on a rooted phone. Is this not the case? I've had androids in the past but never rooted so I don't want to start changing things that are going to interfere with the rooting.

since i do not have this phone (nor have used a lg phone before), i can't say how to get to the bootloader. probably the easiest way is to use rom manager(its an app you can get in the play store). and see if you can boot into recovery from there.

just do a factory reset that will start you off fresh like u just bought your phone. if u go to settings then secruity i believe you will see factory data reset. and yes i had the lg esteem before good phone but now i have the samsung galaxy s3 from metro pcs.

do not do a factory reset from your phones settings WARNING DO NOT DO A FACTORY RESET FROM YOUR PHONES SETTINGS!...you need to download rom manager from the market place and install then you wanna find you a nice rom... i would suggest rom 2 2.5.1... once done power down your phone hold the valume up and down keys and while still holding them push power and wait until you see the screen asking you to factory reset push power button 3 times.. this will not reset the phone but put you in cmr (clock mod recovery) then you can load a rom from there and do a factory reset...this is the only way to do this with a rooted phone...never do a factory reset from the phones settings...this is where you need to start..

If you just want to delete the account, delete the accounts.db file located in system/data.

Dont waste your time with a factory reset. Deleting that file will delete ALL accounts.

You should know better than that. ;)

Why not just go to settings then accounts and sync then click on the email u don't want and delete.should take 10 sec.if that's all u want done.peace
