When this app is downloaded to your phone and started it makes your phone a WiFi "hotspot". A point to internet for say your laptop or tablet if you do not have access to internet via a router or other means.

I have been tethering my esteem to my ps3 and sometimes using alot of data yesterday i use my ps3 to stream mission impossible ghost protocol which i use 506MB of data to stream the movie how come im not getting the message from metro to stop the tethering i use my laptop to stream family guy on Netflix and still no warning from metro

I've tried both the one for rooted and the USB cord tethering both work great was interesting getting a message on my fire fox browser just like blinders2haters did lol

Metro refuses to let me download more than 100MB on laptop tether(direct download). I edit some settings and am truly unlimited now, no text, no calls, zero notice and my speed is comparable to roadrunner Lite speeds. 75 to 250 download. Upload is decent but not good or great. I download anime all day, stream netflix from x360, multiplayer GOW.

Glad to hear im not the only one who has seen the metro message pop up on browsers. I too am interested in what settings youre using. I miss tethering my ipad!

Pdanet is good. I paid $15 for the app because the free version blocks some types of internet access. Try the free and if you're affected by the block, party for the full version.

I'm using wifi tether 3.1 beta 11 and I'm having no problems works like a charm
Yea I never have no problem with it either I'm connected to my ps3 at this moment as im writing netfix time!!!!
