LG esteem video recording quality: frame rate problem?

ok here is the low down on the VIDEO for the LG ESTEEM.

has very nice frames, on youtube its not 720 couse they are uploading video straight from the phone and it only uploads at the LOWEST SETTING! whitch is qcif 176x144
you have to upload 720 video from the phone thrugh the computer!

now the thing about all the video on the phone from qcif to hd is that there is some kind of DELAY IN THE VIDEO AND AUDIO. it does not sync all the way or something. ill post videos of my test. you can try this on your phone, record a video of yourself slaping or hitting your chest. it will be very easy to see that you hear the slap just a split second AFTER you see it in the video! now its easy to resynce latter in video editing software but, im trying to figure out how to fix the sync problem!

thats the problem with the video! and if it looks ''choppy'' you need to make shure your micro sd card is a class 6 or better. i have a class 10 in mine and its better than the built in card on the phone!

Thanks for the info Flowmaster

Remember, this is a Metro phone. I know that's a lame excuse, but it's a fact. We're dealing with a low cost provider...and honestly, it took them over 2 years to finally get a smartphone that has as much functionality and features as the Esteem does, and I've been with Metro since the beginning. So from my perspective, this is still a damn good phone for a carrier like Metro...I mean for them to release a phone with HDMI output is insane to me. In spite of the fact that its 720p isn't stellar...and the camera can't zoom when recording videos...screen isn't AMOLED....and there's no artificial intelligence called Siri I can talk with...still a great phone. If little things like camera frame rate are important factors you need to take into account when buying a phone, then you probably need a high end smartphone from AT&T or Verizon...but you have to pay to play with those carriers

I'll tell you the inside scoop why metropcs "took" longer to get a smartphone. It's because their customer target base was at teir1. Which is basic phones and consumers who don't use the functions of smart phones. after the years, customers were requesting smart phones. Also is the cost. Metropcs doesn't have contracts. So unlike other companies who have contracts which they can give a discount because you're locked in for 2yrs, metropcs doesn't have a contracts. Therefore, the phones are full cost. (unless there's rebates or price drops) otherwise, it's the price is what was holding back the smart phones to metro.

As far as the iphone goes, metropcs was going to get the iphone 4. The reason why metropcs didn't was because of a couple reason. The iphone would have caused $699 (no rebates because apple hard codes their prices). So since there is no contract, no cuts. Second is the iphone 4 was still 3G data, metropcs was launch their LTE network.

Now the word on the stree is, since metro see's customers buying the $399/$349 phone's that word has been delivered by a birdy, IF APPLE makes the iphone 5 (to be release 2012 2nd quater or late summer) to have 4g LTE then metropcs will carrier this device. Otherwise, they wont.

to clear any guestimations, that's the history of the metropcs to smartphone era. lol

As far as the Revo vs Esteem. If you ask me on the framerate, that's LG's bad and I will be sending an email to have this looked into and corrected.

Hope this helps clears any guessing or confussion up.

All the videos I've uploaded from my phone are in 720p on YouTube. It does take YouTube some time to process HD videos so if you're trying to watch it right after you upload it then that could be the problem.

This is incorrect MetroPCS was never in talks with Apple about obtaining the iphone 4. Although true the iphone 4 would have retailed out right at $699, which would inherently put MetroPCS out of the picture. MetroPCS at this time and in the near future has no plans in doing business with Apple in any capacity, and has in fact partnered up with key Android manufactures to push that platform. Apple has no interest at this time in the prepaid market

You joined over a year ago and that has been your only post? Ahaha

The Iphone would never sell being on Metro. No contract = no deals on phones meaning you pay full price for the phone.

I got a class 10 micro sd tested at 20 megs per sec write speed. My LG Esteem still records at 15 frames regarles of video size or ress. I believe it is a software issue.

Hi all my phone info shows 4 gigs of internal storage as total
And memory as 375 could anyone check this on the about phone panel please?
By the way the phone got a lit faster with the class 10
Card.
Thanks!!!
