Root Lg f60 metro pcs

GameTheory also has a free recovery reboot app in play store that might work also.

If you were able to make a Nandroid backup then obviously your recovery is there. If your root failed somehow then a reboot app won't work...

Sorry... Tried to help as much as I can. The F60 I have is Mrs. Spec's untouched DD, and it is holding all of our newborn's pictures. The only copies. She says if I brick her phone or lose any pics, something about third impact ;)

I tried both those apps, they just spin on the going to reboot stage.

@DarkJohn55 it always hangs on the metropcs screen when trying to either shut down or do a reboot of any kind. I have twrp manager installed and it says I have twrp installed at the moment. I know it had twrp - I did a nandroid backup.

I'll live with this as the price of rooting devices. First bad experience in quite a number of phones and tablets....

I'm sorry but it's copy and paste all you do is open a command prompt in the folder once you unzip the file and you copy and paste the commands. There's no special anything except figuring out the COM port. Do you want to get on TeamViewer?
Haven't been around for awhile but thanks for the reply. I was able to root and phone is working fine until I tried moving some apps to my SD Card. I used SDfix to fix the permissions and using Appmaster to move them. Getting an error message (attached). I also rooted my wife's phone and the same thing is going on so I must have done something wrong. Any ideas?

Not sure if this would help but in the twrp have tried fix permissions maybe that has something to do with app2sd and as for hanging on the white screen try the button combo to get in twrp and restore your backup.

No I haven't tried that. Once in TWRP will I see where to fix permissions? Never done that and I am a noob. What should the permissions be set as? Thanks

Well I'm not sure if it will help cuz no one mentioned having to do that but idk up to you and it'll be in maybe the advance setting haven't looked lol

Just bought the f60 for my wife for 49 bucks for the 50 dollar a month plan...actually its 45 a month for unlimited data since we are on a family plan now...I have the lg g2 on metro and the f60 is definitely a nice phone for 50 bucks...the camera is OK for a mid tier phone but it is pretty speedy...I love the lg ui,, its pretty stable and there are a lot of features to it. I would recommend this to the same priced ranged Samsung phones.

Noob here.
I Successfully rooted and added twrp recovery not to long ago, while in twrp i accidentally deleted everything on my phone except twrp. Now my phone powers on loads to the lg screen and stays there. Someone please tell me what to !

after you install the twrp, did you make a backup? If so follow this instructions to get to twrp and recover...
Hold power & vol- until you see the lg logo, then release and immediately press and hold power again until factory reset comes up. Press yes then yes again

I actually didn't make a backup, I kind just rushed through and rooted and all that good stuff because it was my first time ever successfully rooting one of NY phones. Is there any other way to fix my phone??

If someone makes a backup of just system and boot you will be able to use that file in TWRP. My device has been modified so much I doubt my backup will be any help.

If someone would please copy their system and boot files and make them accessible for me I'd be very blessed.

I tried this and it didn't take - went into normal boot. Then for some reason I took the sdcard out, and it worked. Booted into twrp - put sdcard back in - restored nandroid backup. The phone will now reboot and shut off like a normal phone. I'm not sure how the battery discharge is, will have to monitor for a couple of days to see.

After all this I installed link2sd as I've had it on previous phones and wanted to use it to move apps to the sdcard. When it was supposed to reboot to activate the sdcard partition it froze the phone. I was playing with link2sd around the time all this started. When I booted the phone back up I quickly uninstalled link2sd. I've used it before but it doesn't seem to work on this phone. If I've got my phone back, I'll live without it.

Could someone please help me with my Phone? While in twrp if I try to reboot it says no os installed. I don't know what steps I should to take to fix this.

I need some assistance here please. I'm cuban my father bought me the MetroPCs LG F60 (MS395) the last time he went to the US, it is a great phone and I love it. After that I should said that if I break it I'm going to regret it all my live 'cause here is almost impossible get a new one at least like these. After all these blah, blah my request is I need to know if someone could make a Youtube video about all the process of (the rooting was easy and i archive it) rooting and setting a recovery to this amazing phone, i need to have a nandroid backup and in the future CM. This is my first real android phone (I own a Kindle Fire HD if you understand me ;) ) and i am a noobster in the android tinkering, thanks a lot in advance.

PS: I am so sorry about my poor English. It have been a while and it is all rusty. :(
