Root Lg f60 metro pcs

Means using ADB shell or Linux to copy or "dump" /dd the system, boot or other partition contents to a .IMG file. You can also do it with emulator, but must be rooted.

I can elaborate more later on, but first you need to identity which partition holds system (mmcblk0p9, on F60 I think)

Or if I can't get to it, there's plenty of info on XDA :)

F60 have a /by-name/ directory under /dev/???
dd if=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/boot of=/storage/external_SD/system.img ..if rooted with adb shell or terminal. Don't have the phone just curious

Hey so I tried the cm rom (very nice btw) everything's seems great except it seems my mobile network connection won't work. Anyone know anything that could help fix this?

Im having the same issue. Also bluetooth wouldnt receive files. Lastly when I opened 3C toolbox, certain functions wouldnt work. It said that root was required, which i have. Other than that the rom was beautiful.

I can't test data right now. My phone isn't in service check if you have apns under mobile network I can't remember if I fixed it or not but I didn't have apns before and I have them now.

Here's a new build https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934544185 the date is the same remove the previous one before downloading

I love it. One issue I did notice its extremely fast but sometimes gets too ahead of itself and systemui crashes or device reboots. For example installing more than 10 applications all at once or just not closing app windows. Other than that smooth. Cellular works, data works fast lte and what's even better is my old stock os would disconnect me from cellular towers every hour and that would cause dropped calls but so far no dropped calls. 5 Stars! :)

How did you change the boot animation?

Once rooted open adb terminal and flash boot boot.img of the "boot.IMG" of your liking. That's how I did it and I actually did it same time when I rooted my phone with the same exploit that allowed me to gain root terminal while in download mode.

Cm is based on google aosp 5.0.2 it's a custom rom built from source. Camera is broken as in not working in Android Lollipop

I will upload a fresh cm build in about 30 minutes.

1.) Make a backup first
2.) Wipe everything except internal storage and external sdcard
3.) Flash rom and gapps http://forum.xda-developers.com/par...apps-official-to-date-pa-google-apps-t2943900 I use stock package I recommend micro modular
4.) Device wakes on its on disable lift to want settings > display
5.) Please don't tell me camera doesn't work or double tap to wake it's being worked on.
6.) If you want to go back to stock just go in TWRP and restore backup.
Noobie question. Just want to get it right. Boot in recovery. Have TWRP wipe per your instructions. Main question, from there can I install from TWRP the ROM and Gapps? Or do I flash another way? Which zip file first, or does it matter? Think that's it. Any help appreciated. Thx

I am no expert but I installed cm from twrp and booted into fresh os then I boot in recovery again and install gapps through twrp also.

@stinger2k
After the wipe go back to the main twrp menu - home - and go to install. Navigate to where you downloaded the rom and gapps, usually 'Download', and select the rom to install it first. Then add another item to install and select the gapps. You can install them both at the same time. (Up to 10 different items if I remember correctly)

How did you change the boot animation?
I downloaded Rom Toolbox Pro. Swipe left until you get to Interface. Scroll down to Boot Animations. Find one you like. The app will ask you if you want to make a backup. Click yes (better safe than sorry). If you want to see what it looks like hit Preview. If you want to wing it, Install. After completion reboot your device and voila! Note that you MUST GRANT ROOT ACCESS TO ROM TOOLBOX PRO.

@Noobified

Data isn't working for me, can't download mms because LTE or any radio won't turn on. I've set APN to what I was using in stock.

Twrp is a little finicky about SD backups. Had to edit something on the folder.

I had similar issues what I did was first try rebooting and turning data on and off from setting menu. When that did not work I did a new install wiping dalvik and cache as usual and it was working. Try reinstalling and when turning it on be patient don't click repeatedly.

Hi i am new here and i was just looking for some advice i recently rooted my F60 and everything was great up until i installed a boot animation now i am stuck on the boot animation i installed and its on a continuous loop. Is there anything i can do to get my phone back to its factory settings i tried factory reset it didn't and i have no backups so i am kinda screwed.

sounds good. [emoji106]
Hey... I went through the files for the screen.on always... And the best bet is to install the f6 kk4.4.2 files. (apk,framworks,systemUI,settings,libs,msm files)... So bottom lines the is too much tweaking to be able to perform un les a Dev implemented in a build.
