LG G2 KitKat speculations

It's probably a company policy to not comment on future plans. Nothing angers customers more than making a promise and then breaking it.
As a former HTC Desire HD user, I can attest to this: HTC promised ICS, then later reneged. Lotta people were right pissed off.

So I found my own Jellybean ROM for it :P

what is the big deal about being on 4.4, I am just curious. If it runs smooth and awesome on 4.2.2, then what is the big deal to be on the latest and greatest. I was/am personally happy with the performance on 4.2.2, and to me 4.4 is not that big of a difference.

On that note, I am curious to see what will actually change with 4.4, since it already has the LG skin.

I think the major thing after 4.3 was TRIM support.

This is why i want this phone to be updated to 4.3 or above.

If you don't know about TRIM you should read about it more in detail.

I'll just wait until it comes out. Something is going to come out I'm sure. I just want TRIM. The rest i don't care about.

If they're re-designing the UI, I hope they make it more flat. I like the metallic themes from the Music & Voice Recorder apps but i'd like it if they made the phone, calendar and other apps more in line with the Holo design.

Honestly i just hope that if they do update they don't end up screwing up the phone. Every time i have updated in the past it either slows down the phone or causes battery drains. I really don't want that if all it is going to do is being minor additions.

This phone is so fast and smooth. I don't want to fix what is not broken.

Running KK on my Gnex and I like the new icon feel and nav bar, but the "new" Roboto font isn't my favorite.
I'll still run Nova with whatever icon pack I like anyway. :)
Hoping to see some ROMs any day now. Even the S3 has some 4.4 ones.

TRIM isn't a minor thing.

When I had my HTC One X I liked the black font on lightish white background (like what the LG G2 is like now). Then when Sense 5 came out in the summer for the device they went white font on black background, didnt like it all. It also made the phone lag a bit.

So is updating to kitkat going to bring about these sort of changes? (without the lag hopefully).

I'm a fan of the stock LG UI.

I may flash a stock 4.4 rom when it's available, but I'm okay with waiting. We already have transparent nav bar and notification bar, and this thing flies as it is.

And that's without freezing anything in Titanium yet!
