Help LG Motion 4G not compatible with Mac's

Though I am really impressed with this phone so far, I just discovered it is not compatible with Mac OS X and can not connect to access the phone files. I was hoping to drag some media (music for instance) from my computer to my phone but Mac doesn't recognize the device. I am not needing an SD card for this phone as I have pretty much all the apps my heart currently desires and still have almost 5 GB space on it.

Is there a solution to connect it to Mac so I can just drag and drop to my phone?

Did you look for drivers in LGs website?

So far it seems they have drivers out there for other phones but not this one yet. If anyone finds a link to a drive please let me know. (My samsung android simply worked with my mac no driver needed, wish this one did.)

when you connect to the cpu the phone should say something like usb connected in that pop up on the phone it should let you connect to the cpu to copy files

Thanks for the tips. Mac still doesn't recognize the phone. The only option in the USB is for PC connection and it seems bent on only PC

Yeah MAC seems not to recognize any android phone lol but Wat you could do is install a vitural box of windows on your mac

You don't need a USB cable connected to transfer files.

Give an app called "Remote Web Desktop" By SmartDog studio a try

Works very well. Its Free

i got the solution... i was having the same problem: USB card reader... 4 bucks on amazon or ebay done deal

got a 32 gb micro sd card btw working good... got a lot of space mainly for video recording in 1080p

Thanks for the link firenemesis7 but Boooo you have to have the Mac OS X 10.5. I'm still behind with the 10.4.11. I will google though to see if maybe they have an older version?? Also, yes we can get a usb card reader but it's money and a royal pain to have to take the card out whenever we want to add music. FYI I can download photos to my phone using "image capture" but have to switch the usb connection on phone to camera only and it doesn't let me download photos from my mac to the phone, which i would like to do. Thanks again.

OP as new as the phone is chances are LG hasn't gotten a driver certified with Apple yet. I do believe Apple charges some obscene amounts to test and certify your driver (seems like I once read it was like 30 grand a driver or something). That's the case they maybe in a wait and see how the phone does.

Something else you can also do to transfer files over to the phone is email them to your self thought Google as long as there not to large.

Im running Mac OS X 10.8.1 Mountain Lion and even with usb debugging, and error screen pops up showing it does not recognize the device. Apple will have to make an update that is compatible with it, the only way is the card reader.

Sucks :hmpf:
