Help LG Motion 4G "resets" when writing to storage?

thegnu

Lurker
Am I the only person this is happening to? I just recently found the tip to freeze/remove Metro's EasyWIFI app, and that got rid of some problems, but I still get these weird mini-resets, and I think it's related to storage.

The phone is a rooted 1.5GHz LG Motion 4G LTE running the D firmware. My SD card is a 16GB Sandisk Ultra HC I UHS-1 card, but I don't think it is involved. My apps are in phone memory.

Basically, when I download updates from the Play Store or download playlists on Spotify, my phone's screen will go blank. When I wake the screen, it's usually frozen on like a transparent overlay of two screens. After a few seconds, it reloads the stock lockscreen (I'm using WidgetLocker), and scans/syncs media with the little notification icon of an SD card.

Does this happen to anyone else? Any advice?

Thanks!

I think you may have to flash the firmware, sounds like a defective phone to me.

ok. so i'll verify if this persists when reflashed completely stock, and if it does, i'll make a claim on the warranty.

thanks.

What about the apps you have ruining? Have you tried disabling them systematically to determine if the problem persists so you can rule them all out as the culprit?
