LG motion screen stopped responding

whomp wommp so two days ago I was charging my phone on someone's elses usb charger (i believe it was a blackberry charger) and after I disconnected my phone (not fully charged) started acting all wonky (i would press one app and it would act if I was tapping another part of the screen)

after about a minute the screen just gave out and would not respond. I came home and charged my phone on the lg charger and little by little the screen started responding again, well I left it charging over night and by the morning the screen did not work.

Could it possibly be something inside of it just fried up, (the night before it did give me a warning the phone had overheated)

weird part is that i am able to do a hard reset, but yet when on the regular home screen none of the 3 buttons work

yes i have which is weird since the 3 buttons dont work on the regular home screen yet im able to do a hard reset. But before I did a hard reset I was not even able to unlock the phone anymore...now im just stuck on the set up page since i cannot tap on any of the options

It reflashes the firmware so that the phone is like new.
If that fails, factory reset.
If that fails, you did physically break it internally by accident.
