Hi All,
I have lg optimus v (vm670) and I recently bought a '13 outback. Phone will not pair with the cars Bluetooth. Is there a way to tweak the phone (upgrades, apps) to get it to pair?
thanks

Have you made sure the phone was put in discoverable mode when attempting to connect?
Please list the steps you have taken to get the phone to pair with the car, thanks.

Phone - turn Bluetooth on, make discoverable, scan for devices
Car - name the device I want to pair, car accepts name. Car gives passkey and begins searching for devices
Phone - the cars Bluetooth (car_media) appears as a pairable device. I select car_media and the phone displays "pairing" for a few seconds. Then it fails. There's no passkey prompt. Phone says it can't be paired because of incorrect pin or passkey.
Car - setup failed.

Did setting the passkey to 0000 fix the problem? I am having the same problem with my LG Optimus V and a 2012 Subaru Impreza. The phone sees the subaru but never gives me a chance to enter any passkey/code to complete the pairing. In the phones manual it simple states that if a code is needed a menu will pop up to enter said code, but that never happens and the pairing fails.

Setting the car bluetooth passkey to 0000 does the trick! Once the code was changed the LG Optimus V paired with the Subaru nice and easy, the phone never asks you to enter a code so the default one it is looking for must be 0000
