Root LG Optimus V Bricked?

Okay, click start, go all programs-accessories-right click on command prompt. Pick run as administrator from the context menu. Click yes. Are you comfortable with old DOS commands?

Ok, I see you've been having fun. Is your phone recognized by your pc without having to go into emergency mode? Tell me were your adb.exe is located. Example:root of the C drive/SDK/platform-tools.

Got ninja'd, if you got it brotherswing I'll just chime in where it looks like it's needed.

Oh, I have no idea what I'm doing here! I did it once, back in February. I was just trying to make sure he had adb access set up right, so that when you were on it would save those few steps. I am, however going to follow along, so I can be more help to the next member who has this issue....

Ok, we need to first see where the adb.exe is located.
Then we need to make sure the path is set properly.

Oh, I can try. I know my way around computers quite well. It's this specific process I'm not familiar with. I can get you squared away, just not as fast as some of the others, because I'm busy researching the steps in other tabs of my browser.

idk if its the same or not adb.exe and adb but to acess it i go to computer then c: then program files (x86) then to the android file then android-sdk then platform-tools then there is a adb file and if i try to access it, it just brings up a command prompt type thing and just goes through a list thing and diapers... there also is a AdbWinApi.dll file and a AdbWinUsbApi.dll file

You can't run it that way. Use the DOS window to go to that location, then you'll have to type the commands. Old school, I know.

yea its on the c drive but the file is called andriod-sdk and it has alot of folders in it like platform and platform-tools and extras and add ons and SDK Manager and AVD Manager and SDK read me ect.

Seems like were walking all over each other. This is going to confuse the OP. I'll back off, alright?

I just needed to know the actual spelling of you sdk folder for the commands,as there are various ones out there but the commands are case sensitive.
