LG Optimus V Messaging & Browser Issues

JMC1

Lurker
Hi everyone, I've green having a very annoying and frustrating issue with my Optimus V and I was wondering if anyone knows what I can do about it.

At least once a day at the same time my Messaging app (the original one that comes on the phone) and my Browser start acting weird. I'll start to receive double text messages from whoever I'm texting at that time and then my browser will start to load pages exactly only halfway and then stops, so I go into applications and I choose force stop on the messenger and browser, start them back up and everything is fine. But the next day it happens again and I just can't fiqure out why, any suggestions? Thanks! :D

If your still having problems and your not rooted, and have never been rooted......then go to the privacy setting in the menu and select the factory reset option. This will wipe all user data.

First: Download AppTyrant from the market. When you first open it up it will auto save all your downloaded apps in their .apk form to the sd card. Once your done with the factory reset just go back to the market and download the app. Open it up and select the Android Guy near the top right of the screen. This will take you to where you can install all your apps one at a time, instead of having to search for them and download each one, all you have to do is install. Save's a lot of time.
This app also auto save's all downloaded apps as their installed. This comes in handy if you install an update to an app and it no longer functions properly. Without AppTyrant you would be forced to find another app to do the same thing. With ApTyrant all you have to do is go back to the .apk section and install the old .apk that was working.

Every now and then you need to go in and delete the old .apk's you don't use as they can acumulate. I usually wait until I have tried an update to verify it functions, then I delete the old .apk, this keeps me from having to many old .apk's of the same app taking up space on the sd card.

Second: Backup the contents of your SD card to a PC.

After the factory reset, once you sign in to your Google account all your contacts will be restored after about 30 sec.
