Ok I did that.1. Install flash image gui
-Go to settings>application>check unknown resources
-Use a file manager (get on from Google Play if you don't have one already) and browse to where you put flash image gui on your sd card>select it>install it. Put all this stuff on your microSD card if you haven't already...
-Open flash image gui and browse to where you put the cannibal recovery, select it, flash it>reboot Make sure non of this stuff was downloaded over 3G, it must be downloaded with wifi, if you haven't you may brick.
SO i factory reset my phone. SO when it saids delete all data I say yes?3. go to backup and restore>backup
4. after completion, go back>wipe data/factory reset>yes>wipe cache partition>yes>wipe system, data, cache>yes>advanced>wipe dalvik cach>go back>install zip from sd card>choose zip from sd card>choose wherevever you put backside ROM. Don't forget you need gapps too. Download them from the same page you got backside> flash it the same way you flashed backside. No need to wipe anything this time>flash>reboot> you're done.
Ok it's installing right now. Can I install any ROM this way? What is a ROM? Does it contain the android os number. Like one is 2.3 and the other is 4.0?
So basically I can do everything on my phone. Install new ROMS. Backup my phone, etc. How does this work on phones without sd cards like the galaxy nexus?Yes, ROM is read only memory, its actually should be called an OS (operating system) but we call it rom because it is on the phones ROM....yes to the last thing.
Idk, internal memory I guess....So basically I can do everything on my phone. Install new ROMS. Backup my phone, etc. How does this work on phones without sd cards like the galaxy nexus?
