I was updating to DVD and there was an error and I was prompted to unplug the data cable and then remove my battery and then to try to update again and my phone just died. It will not turn on again even when I plug it into the charger. I don't know what to do :'(

It doesn't do anything when I plug it in, its just dead...

Have never heard of it asking to be unplugged while in process. If your battery was too low it wouldn't even let you begin. Try to get a different battery to put in it. Don't know if it will matter but worth a try:thumbup:
Its been a bit over an hour of it being plugged in actually :/ I'm screwed. Just my luck I swear. Of course this didn't happen when rooting or flashing stuff but it happened with the LG updater tool
Wow. That sucks dude. This is the first time I've heard of that happening.
What kind of battery do you have? Stock or aftermarket?
Can you try a different battery? I had a battery all of a sudden just die on me. There was juice still in it but it just died. I switched out my battery and the phone booted up normal. I have no idea what happened to that battery but I threw it out.
I don't know if this is the problem but its worth a shot. Find and try another battery before you do anything just to make sure.
Its a stock battery but I don't know why the battery would be damaged by a bad update
I didn't say the update killed your battery.
I said that batteries are known to just die for no reason. Maybe being the reason your phone WONT BOOT.
You can do whatever you want but you've got people here trying to help you so you can either take people's advice and help or you can do whatever. Obviously you made a post wanting help and that's what your receiving.
PERSONALLY I'd be thankful to have multiple options that could POTENTIALLY fix my phone that I would jump at the chance to try instead of having a dead phone.......but I guess that's just me.
Also like Gbig said, I've never heard of the updater saying that you needed to unplug your phone during the update. That's a guaranteed way to screw your phone up.............so I don't know why it would ask that? Something doesn't sound right or something is off somewhere BUT if you unplugged your phone before it finished updating then more than likely it's messed up and NOT the battery.
Good luck with your phone
I wasn't trying to refuse your help or be rude at all. I'm sorry if you thought I was being stubborn. I'm just really frustrated. I've already called LG and they gave me shipping info and everything so I might as well hand it over. If they can't do anything then I will get another battery.. I really do appreciate your suggestions I just wasn't thinking clearly right now.
Hey hey hey, lets chill out. I know exactly what happened to the device and no need to worry. It is just that your phone faulted during the installation process which isn't a big deal. the reason you can not turn on the device us because the battery is dead now and the reason it won't charge is because it goes not have any firmware tired to it fire to the faulty installation using the update tool. Once we do get it plugged into the computer and being recognized by LGNPST it week pop up with a screen of download is in progress and thats IT. The device will not charge in thus state and the battery is dead thus making it too where you cannot turn it on because of these 2 factors. I an disappointed in fuzzy because he did not know this LoL (jk fuzzy). Let me know when you want to fix thus and i will have NO problems.

Use this exact method. I know exactly why your device won't turn on and i know exactly what you will see when you DO get it turned on and recognized so no worries. Same thing happened to me and we found a way to fix it. Once you finish this process you will see no problems anymore and will be able to charge the device again. After you install LGNPST through the links from the linked document above you HAVE to make sure you're phone is recognized in LGNPST and unknown model number. It may take you a couple of times to get it recognized before you start the installation process but I promise it will work. And please when navigating to where you unzip the .tot file, make sure you navigate to the right place and THEN type in the file name LoL.

you can't make it any worse than what it already is lol the worst brick that you can get software wise lol. And it isn't a big deal, what you need to do is go ahead and use that guide that i posted a link to(Credit for the guide good to amazin, biggie, pnut, Budde and myself). Let me know if you would still like me to go ahead and walk you through it though, have no problems at all making sure you get up and running.
