Root LG Volt Stock ZV5 Rooted Rom - Odex & Deodex

Lol probably. I really wish there would be more updates with that! It has so much potential but its just barely shy of being daily driver material

I flashed deodexed and had root. Maybe try flashing the SU update zip along with the rom. It's linked somewhere, I'd have to search. But their xda thread will have the most up-to-date.

lost root and was never prompted to "fix it" when flashing the deodexed vers. not sure what happened but i'm starting from square one again.
same with me. i've switched back from CM12.1 due to unresolved camera and other issues. the rom has been working splendidly for the most part, but lost root and upon flashing the supersu.zip, i get the "su binary not installed" and a force close. how do fix this so i can install flashify and switch back to the twrp for lollipop (yes, i want to try my luck at testing the latest CM12 release)

Good luck, unfortunately I've somehow managed to pretty much kill my phone it seems while messing around with 5.1lollipop

You can always go back to zv3 stock and reroot from there.

Look up LG Volt DeCAF CM11. I'm using it right now and camera front and rear work, but for video... You need Camu. Other than that... Just use the odex version.

OK I fixed root in the deodexed ROM. It turned out to be the busybox installation zip I had integrated. It was somehow deleting the xbin folder. For now I just removed the busybox installer. You'll still have basic busybox but if you need the full install of busybox just grab an installer from the play store.

I'll upload the fixed ROM as soon as I can. My internet is not cooperating at the moment

hey thanks man! is it up now?

I tried before. I had root and for reasons beyond me couldn't remove applications like boost zone or whatever. It said it deleted it but did not. Also, some of the apks have weird names associated with bloatware and I wasn't sure what belonged to what.

Lucky Patcher and/or Titanium Back-Up is helpful for removing bloat ware.

Link2SD does app removal and can convert user apps to system apps in the free version. You really shouldn't just go in and manually delete apk files out of the system, which I'm getting the impression you were doing. You don't know what you'll leave behind which can lead to instability.

Download that and use the post I linked above as a reference for what you can remove. Be sure to check the notes as to the impact of what removing certain things is.

Ok looks like dumb me uploaded the new build and when I went to delete the old one from AFH, I deleted the new one instead. Sorry about that. Uploading again now and will have correct link up in a bit.
