Root LGNPST phone info not displayed

I installed everything and can run LGNPST but I cant click anything on the menu except File>Select Dll and Exit.

Also on the right side where it says phone info nothing is displayed except UNKNOWN(COM4)

My device model is "unkown" and the status is on "stand by"
Problem with phone itself or software?
 
The drivers are working I can use the phone is QPST and add music and videos etc I just think I may have a bad copy of LG diagnostic software or possibly it should be ran in compatibility mode

There are different drivers, Storage drivers, they just allow you to browse your sd card. And Modem drivers they are what allows your computer to get into the actual phone operating system.
If you look at system properties device manager do you have android modem under com? Or Modem?
 
Go to C:\LG Electronics\LGNPST\Model and delete all the files except for MS690.dll, MS690ZV3_36.scr, Reggie.exe and Setup.exe. Then drag the MS690.dll file on top of the Reggie.exe file to register the MS690.dll file.

Is this the part your having problems with?
 
No Ive done that...When I connect my phone to LGNPST it literally will not work with my phone. The .dll registration will not work for me with the copy and paste and the instructions for LGNPST to install a .dll will not work either...
 
If the registration didn't work successfully, try disabling your UAC. I had the same problem as you and disabling UAC helped. You have to open up msconfig either by run (xp) or search (vista), and under services find UAC and disable it (your computer will need to restart).
 
make sure the LGNPST is not in compatibility mode i had a problem where nothing was click able until i took the compatibility mode of it it was set to xp for some reason don't know why i was running vista.

I had the same problem when I tried doing this with Windows7.. Tried it on Windows XP and LGNPST worked perfectly.

LG Optimus M 2.2.1 Rooted :)
