Root Liberation - Development Ceased

Next release won't be transparent. It will be stock (as is the intent of the ROM). However, you can always use UOT Kitchen to modify it to your liking. Same with the battery meter. I'll have a guide on that with the next release.

However, I've scrapped all beta plans with this build. Next release will be a release candidate based on the .3 OTA.

Thanks for the fast response! Looking forward to installing the RC :D

Thanks Medion. Will give that a try.

I'm not a noob, but have been out of the loop for a while. I saw you had a Gingerbread based ROM out but it still looks like it is kind of in Beta. Hopefully that will be finely tuned soon. Look forward to trying it out.

I hate to ask, but can you point out a good thread that gives me some straight talk about the infamous "Low Application Space" message? It's popped up on me lately and even moving a bunch of stuff to SD card didn't seem to do a whole lot unfortunately.

Thanks! Keep up the good work!

Here's what you need to know about that. The /data/data partition of the Incredible is on the internal storage but limited to no more than 150MB of data (may be less). Some things pile up in here, such as Netflix data, HTC Mail data, and Facebook data (contact sync is a killer). If you're using any of these, your /data/data partition will be bloated. Also, most apps leave their library files and extra data in here.

The 2.3 update addresses this by moving more data (even lib files) to the SD card when an app is moved to SD. This helps to alleviate the issue. Still, the best ways to avoid this problem, or to minimize its impact, is to keep HTC mail use light (or avoid it), do not sync FB contacts through Friendstream, move Netflix to SD O(and wait for 2.3, which helps here), and when given the option, generally let an app store its data on SD rather than internal storage.

RC0 is up. Gone is the weird experimentation from the betas (especially 5 and 6). Post here if you have any questions, concerns, issues, etc. I'm done updating this ROM until the actual RUU comes out. Once it does, Liberation v2.0 goes up, followed by Enhanced.

Just wanted to say that I will be ceasing development of Liberation and Liberation Enhanced for the time being. Current versions are up to date, but users may want to migrate to Jermaine's Stock PLUS ROM. There are many similarities, and while any addon made for that ROM is also compatible with Liberation Enhanced (not regular Liberation, try it at your own risk!), his ROM is getting more community support as well as direct support from the developer.

I'll be switching to the Nexus Prime (or whatever it's called) in November.
