Root Liberty 1.5 Lock/Unlock Issues

Ive been running liberty 1.5 for a few weeks now and ive noticed only one problem. The screen frequently wont turn on after its been locked. I can press all the buttons i want as much as i want but no response. I dont know if the phone actually turns off, or if the screen just wont respond. Ive got it to turn on maybe once or twice but its taken quite a while. I usually am forced to remove the battery and restart. Does anyone know if this is a normal problem or can it be fixed?

I've gotten this behavior before. No idea how to reproduce it or why it happens.

Try reinstalling the Liberty Rom right over itself DO NOT WIPE OR factory reset. Reboot after it reboots the first time .

When that happens just hold down the power button until the "Phone options" menu comes up, you know the menu that has the options to reboot, power off, etc., then just back out by pressing the back button and your lock screen should resume as normal.

I was actually thinking about posting this issue too. Just started happening the last few weeks. If you look closely when this happens, sometimes (for me) you can actually really faintly see the screen, it's just very dark. Seems like it happens when I push the power button and it turns off, then I remember I forgot something and try to turn it back on really quickly. Sometimes it will come back on by itself, sometimes it reboots.

Faber, I use widgetlocker and it doesn't help. Widgetlocker does stop the freezes when sliding to unlock though.

edit: Oh, and bouchigo, I've tried holding down the button, nothing happens.

Now that you mention it that is literally exactly what happens to mine. I think i have noticed the screen being barely visible only once, and that was in the sunlight. But it never does it when the phone locks on its own, only when i do it myself, and usually when i quickly try to unlock it again. and always at the most inconvenient time!

This happened to me a bunch of times on Liberty. I liked the ROM a lot, but the fact that I couldn't get through a day battery wise (maybe something to do with my not-so-compelling classes and my not-so-stellar signal strength) and the random reboots/freezes/unlock screen errors, I ditched. I went back to Fission (which I donated to) for about a day, and then ditched again (No gingerbread keyboard, no MusicMOD built in, etc).

Fission is great, don't get me wrong. However, I put rubiX on for the first time the other day and it is FAST and the battery life is fantastic. I would say the speed is comparable to Liberty and the battery is comparable to (what people are saying they get on) ApeX.

To my knowledge, 1.9.7 is the latest. I would give it a whirl - not a single problem with it so far.

Same here! Only problem I have had with the ROM.

I may just use this as an excuse to try out a new rom. I only wish we had more choices in ROMs. Im sooooo jealous of the HTC's having unlocked bootloaders, and almost every other phone for that matter. If only i had known the X's bootloader was locked, i probably would have waited for the thunderbolt.

Edit: Just saw the X on How I Met Your Mother, random.... And i have also noticed that i have huge problems with the SD card when trying to connect to my computer. Sometimes the phone just goes insane and says the card is safe to remove when i never wanted to remove it, and then the phone doesnt even read the card at all. Thats the second time today, earlier i tried to view a picture sent in a text but it would work because it said i had no SD card installed, thus resulting in me being forced to remove the battery and restart.
