Root Liberty battery tweak

It was the reason I left liberty in the first place. But with my undervolting my battery life is adequate and on par with my norm. And apex did not take kindly to my phone at all. So I went back to liberty. If the tweaks aren't a major improvement then I'll prolly just keep my theme rather than installing it.

Is the tweak supposed to help? Or is it more of a log for the team to see where they can enhance battery in the next release?

Hope they get it sorted out. Though most ROM's I've used with the exception of ApeX had meh battery life.

They made it seem like its an actual mod. They changed some framework stuff and are killing some services that don't need to be running.

Yes, it's a tweak. The only reporting back was people posting their results.

I noticed a slight improvement with the tweak, but didn't notice any horrible battery results w/o tho either. With tweak was about the same as Apex or any other good battery rom.

If you apply a theme, then install the patch, it does change your battery icon to the round yellow one, so not a horrible change if yellow fits your theme.

This is what I was hoping to hear about. What kind of mods did you do and how is the tweak working for you?

I themed it for BWC theme.....edited some xml files, anim folder, and drawable-hdpi.

I haven't been running Liberty since a certain little mishap, wink wink.....lol

Liberty didn't live up to all the hype for me.... after a couple weeks I was ready for something different. I find Focused (also based on GummyJar) to work nicely, have better battery life (equivalent to patched Liberty) and it just seems faster to me.

if you apply the sysctl and kernal tweaks from rubix in liberty you can get better battery life then apex and keep all the fun liberty stuff too :)

there was.a list of all the tweaks on a blog I was reading from this linux coder don't remember the link but my settings are min free 2048 dirty ratio 95 dirty background ratio 60 vfs cache pressure 20 oom allocating task checked. kernal: sampling rate 37500 up threshold 95 and there's some build prop reeks also but I don't remember of the top of my head. btw if it ever slows down with these settings after a few days just reboot and ul see a big speed boost or make a cammand to clear cache.

I tried it and didn't help any at all. Liberty 1.5 is a great ROM, but it is a battery sucking vampire :)

If you don't mind having a dead battery in a few hours or leaving your phone plugged in a lot, then it is great!
