Help Light bleeding through the screen..:-(

I have a light bleeding through my screen....is this bad? It past the 30 days since I bought the phone, so I'm not sure if sprint can help me out on it. Please advise. Thanks

I dont know if its necessarily bad. Its more like annoying and frustrating. This is a build issue and would fall under the 1yr manufacturer warranty, so dont worry about the 30 days. the question is, does Sprint and/or HTC feel that this is a good enough reason to repair or replace the phone.

My 30 days is up tomorrow and I see some light bleeding through my screen as well as the battery cover not being flush (it's like the battery cover is a little too big for the phone). I guess I'll take my phone in to have them replace it.

^^
easier said than done if they are out of stock/sold out. Again, I dont think the 30days has anything to do with build quality. it may give you leverage though, i guess.

It really is annoying, but other than that I love this phone! I just don't want the bleeding through to get worse.

I am in your exact position. But if does get worse, Sprint will have to repair. So not stressing it.

Can you show me a picture of this problem please? I would like to compare it to my phone.

What kind of light bleeding exactly? I have a nasty hotspot in the center of my phone that seems to be growing brighter by the day. I am going to give in soon and have my phone replaced because I just can't take it anymore. I hope they don't try to treat it like a stuck pixel and refuse. If they do then its off to best buy for their black tie and I won't see the phone for 30 days...

^^No that's not it. What it is, is a shiny light coming through the middle-lower part of the screen. You can really notice it on white or lighter backgrounds. I try the pixel fixed and no luck.

Since you are out of the 30 days you could take it to a Sprint store with a service center. They can order you a replacement phone but it might take some time to get it in. It also may or may not be a rebuilt one. This is why I posted a week ago that if you had any problems you should get it swapped out within the first 30 days because you are guaranteed a new phone then. What is happening is the glue at the bottom of the screen starts to let go on some of them. The screen wont fall out because its double face taped everywhere else. Some folks have re glued them down by using krazy glue and a few strong spring type clothes pins to hold it down while gluing if they really didn't want to give up that handset.

Here is the picture...its the shiny spot mid-lower part of screen

No, they wanted to give me a refurbished one and I wanted to keep mine. It hasn't gotten any worse so I'll just keep it like this. I guess I've gotten used to it.

I must of missed this tread. I got this on my Evo as well. But i've gotten use to it too. Looks like the same spot.

I had this same problem. I went to the Sprint store today. They took my phone for about an hour and a half - and some kid replaced the entire LCD screen and glass. I kid you not, it was like some 18 year old looking kid - did and EXCELLENT job. My phone looks literally brand new. He kept apologizing that I lost my screen protector, but I don't care.

No more hot spot on the LCD, and it's as if I have a new phone.
