Light leakage???

You crack me up sometimes, just like how you keep it real.my girlfriend have the EVO and she has no clue on the defects unless i tell her about it her biggest complaint was the battery. Now the only issue i found was the light leakage and we just got it exchange to a version3 right before the 30 day was up and this phone is all good.

LOL, just been doing forums a long time, usenet before that, and go back to my old BBS days. Keeping it real is just what I always have done. :p

My wife has the Evo too, and reads and ocasionally posts here too, so she knows everything. Mostly just laughs at folks. I am giving mine and hers back too, due to light leakage now spilling onto the screen. But I love my phone, beyond belief. Understood I bought a launch day product, and will stay patient with a sense of humor through whatever bumps I have to deal with.

Just desperately wish more folks here would take the same attitude.

What do you means leaks into the screen? And what is Dreamliner owning up to lying about?

The light from the buttons lights up on the screen, I think, I've not directly experienced this.

I've lied about nothing. It's just bitter rantings from an elderly man, I'm afraid.

He accused me of lying, I asked him to quote one lie....(which he cannot).

I will not personally attack anyone, but I will not allow my integrity to be questioned.

You really want me to go back and get it?? I can, but would rather not.

Instead, let me try this. I apologize for attacking your integrity, at least without backup. I am sorry and won't happen again.

Let's try something new. A truce of sorts. I say something you think is stupid, of course you must respond LOL, and vice versa. But...

I have been watching you much. And see you posting a lot better, or more "fair" if you will. You were doing some very troll like behavior one time, but you aren't now. I see that. Actually kinda impresses me.

So how about a fresh start??

I'm on my 3rd EVO already (1st - Release Day phone had problems with touchscreen, 2nd - Got bricked by software update) and my prior 2 phones didn't have the light leak at all. 3rd time's a charm, I guess because I have a little 'bit on mine, but it's not extremely awful. Seems like just one of the buttons. It's weird though because, if I push down on the bottom of the screen, it somehow seems to go away temporarily. As long as the phone is working, it doesn't really bother me, but yes...I am experiencing the light leakage slightly (just got this replacement on 4th of July).

Hate to sound all Apple-like but don't push down on it. It is like anything, if you pick at it it will get worse. Light leakage does not necessarily mean anything. So my advice is just enjoy your device and if in 6 months it seems like the screen is coming off they still have to replace it for you.

Thanks for the advice. It's my first all touchscreen phone (had HTC qwerty phones prior - Mogul, Touch Pro). It really doesn't bother me much and I may be exchanging for a white one when they finally get to L.A., but this was just the first one that I had actually seen light leakage on.

Yeah I honestly couldn't tell you if mine has it or not. Got a case on day one and have not taken it off since. It could be 4th of July under there lol
