Root Liquid 3.0 Final Link Up

Nah, saw some tweets but nothing involving his rom, almost seems like he decided to pull out with his recent actions, hope it isn't the case but I can't find anywhere that he has been active with his rom. His site just seems to be handled by one of his other devs and they were commenting on how they need money last I saw.
 
I hope so. He dropped RC2 last night and said that the rom was pretty much ready. I guess he's waiting for some reports on stability. It looks like all the new CM7 commits were added as well including the new lockscreen. I'll root around and see what I can find. I also want to flash 1.8 for comparison.

I just flashed CM7 RC1.8. Letting it settle right now. Will report in that thread.
 
Hey guys:

I know this thread seems more about releasing practices and the different versions of 3.0, but I just switched to Liquid from BAMF and had a more "nuts and bolts" type of question. Does Voice Search work as it's supposed to?

I can't get the mic to recognize any input in the secondary VS box. For example, I say, "send text to Joe Shmoe," the box will pop up with Joe's name in the "to" field and everything, but if I then hit the microphone button to add the actual message, I get nothing. It doesn't light up or seem to hear me.

Also, I know I can launch right into the text and not wait then hit the button, but have had mixed results with that.

Double-also is that this happened on 2.6 as well.

3.0 RC5 still has the same problem. Is that a problem with CM7 too?
 
RC Final released this morning. I really hope he goes public soon so we can discuss this rom. The instant I get a public link I'll post it.

I think I will wait to see if non-beta people have access to bug fixes.
 
Does anyone else get the "Your current data plan is not supported. NFL Mobile requires a Verizon Wireless data plan of 2GB or more." error when opening NFL Mobile on Liquid? I have unlimited data as well...is there a workaround?
 
Anyone have a link to the latest 3.0 RC since Liquid seems to have disappeared? Gave the 9/14-9/15 another chance and still had too many problems to use as a DD...
 
It is a donate to receive rom currently. From the last post by Bjanow it seems like the offical 3.0 rom should surface currently. IIRC correctly liquid has a habit of releasing his roms on Fridays.

I did donate and received one version from 9/15 after emailing him multiple times. Didn't realize it was donate per revision...
 
There are still 2 issues with Liquid 3.0 that need to be resolved. I don't think he's answering these days either. One is BT, it gives static. Second is gtalk video, on initializing it FC, receiving is ok. Once those are solved I think we'll have a release. But who knows? I'd like to see it out there even with these 2 probs but you know what that would be like. A hundred people complaining that it doesn't work even though he knows it. I don't know how the devs keep up with this. Perhaps that's why he closed things up? He might just want a stable, working release before it goes public.

I have a feeling that he might just send out the link to all donators once it's ready and then the public release shortly afterward. But that's just speculation as I'm not in contact with him very often. I'll keep you posted.
 
I thought you had but I couldn't remember and didn't want to go back to look. I don't have a copy of the rom. If someone did I still think they would be in their right to host it if they wanted to but under no obligation to by any means. With the community around liquid's rom I doubt you will find many donators willing to host it for you or provide a download link.
 
Everytime I see this thread bumped I think you are going to be posting the official download link :mad:

Any word if liquid is going to wait for an across the board fix for gtalk before release?
 
I doubt it, I haven't seen anyone on aosp with a reliably working gtalk video. I'm sorry for getting your hopes up but I'm just one guy amongst various testers. He probably has reports coming in from a lot of sources. Latest has Tiamat 1.1.3 but that might change in the near future, I'm just not sure. I wish I could post a link for you before anyone else gets it, but I don't think that will be possible. As soon as I see a link I'll put it up here first thing.
 
Thanks, I appreciate you giving us heads up. I have liked Liquid's roms for a long time. I'm glad he is still working on it looking forward for the official release.
 
You're welcome. It's bugging me not being able to discuss this with you guys. Size, btw, is still 68meg and slim as can be. He's been working on it constantly, it seems, really wanting to get it right. He's psyched.
