Root Liquid 3.0 Final Link Up

:p I will put it on both of us I realized what you were trying to say when I posted that but didn't want to change it. I would rather people not as versed in the root world as some of us here not to think that AOSP roms are just desensed roms but rather realize AOSP is the true look and feel of Android while Sense is what HTC decides to mesh with it to make their products stand out from the other OEM out there.

Just trying to make an analogy. Poor one I guess.

No offense, but the analogy wasn't a great one. I love the feel of the CM7, a definite fan of it, but I'm not interested in another take on CM7 unless it is a drastically improved version (read, really snappy, really battery efficient) of CM7. I think the only time I'll switch from CM7 is if OMGB is as stable as CM7.

Liquid's roms are improved upon the CM7 base. I would rank it much higher in the pecking order than any OMG based rom, if you are looking for something to try then this is a good thing to try, after all if you would rather use CM then you can restore your backup.

This ROM is amazing! It is so snappy and quick (almost enjoy it more than CM7). But, my battery life has been no where near as good as with CM7. I kept the stock kernel (and my governor is currently set at smartassv2) for the first couple days with it, which was Tiamat 1.1.3 I believe, and I couldn't last a whole day without it dying. It would lose about 10% an hour when I wasn't even using it (with CM7 when I wasn't using it, it would go down about 1 or 2% an hour). Last night I flashed IMO 3.8.0 and the battery life has been a little better, but still no where near as good as CM7. I guess I'm must wondering what kind of battery life you all are experiencing with Liquid 3.0. I really dont care about battery life, and as long as I can get through a whole day thats fine with me....

I flashed this bad boy yesterday and am
Very impressed with the battery life. I'm
currently almost 21 hours into this charge.
I was on CM7 previously and wasn't
getting this kind of battery life. Still love
CM7, but I'm going to stick with 3.0 for
a good while I think.

Anyone having data issues with this? 4g/3g will just disapear, in known to me as excellent areas. Did not have this issue with the Soab sense rom. This is my first aosp rom, I have no idea where to look.

I'm getting this also even though I'm on cm7. Vzw is rolling 4g out here on the 20th. I think it's a network issue, at least for me.

What kernel are you using? whats your governor set to? LOL I would love to get that kind of battery life

Either Tiamat 1.1.4, or imo 3.9.2. Smartass v2. I'm OC and still getting that kind of batt. Latest radio too.

Hmm I have everything you do and am not getting anywhere near the results you are ha...maybe I should calibrate my battery? Idk if that would do it or not

Stock ROM settings here. I did limit my 4G data connection to only use when I needed it and kept Wifi on all the time since we have it where I work. Would have lasted well over 24 hours if I wouldn't have surfed for ay least 2 hours last night.

That would resolve any reporting errors

Hmm, batt stats.... mildly interesting aside... Due to a conversation that we had a while back in the CM7 thread, I did clear the stats after fully (bump) charging it and my result of having good battery life didn't waver from before clearing stats.

Anyone know what Thundersense and Gingersense is from Liquid?

I think they are liquid's sense roms

They wouldn't affect your actual battery life just get rid of any reporting errors

Wiping batt stats is a joke, imo. Get a new battery if you're going to keep the phone. I got a new one and my battery life increased. Warranty replacement.

Anyone try the sense roms? Just curious.

That's always an option. I guess I'll pass on this for now. I'm weary of ROMs that promises "improvement" upon the already quick CM7 core when all I see in the changelog are visual tweaks. At least OMGB is conceived to be as close to AOSP as it can be, though dev work seems to have stalled for a while now, halting any promises of a RC version in the near future.

I have some lack of effective changeover when I go from Wifi back to network data (I'm in an almost exclusive 4G area in the OGLTE areas around Nashville).

You will miss out if you chose not to flash something just because it is CM based. The tweaks are not just visual but if not flashing is your choice I'm not going to try to sway you otherwise

Can you point out some of these performance tweaks? Maybe I've missed something among the various threads.

I'm getting tired of flashing new CM7-based ROMs that all just end up making me re-setup my home screen and re-download and restore my apps over and over again.

Have you noticed a massive/subtle changes between CM7.1 and LGB? Do you prefer it over CM7.1? If so, why?

This rom is Titanium backup friendly. You should be able to restore most stuff within a half hour and then tweak it to your liking. Nonetheless, the rom is 65 meg and lightning quick. The battery life is ridic with smartass V2. The Liquid control panel has many more options, tweaks, and customization choices than CM7. I won't go on or try to convince you, but this thread has a lot of users that have flashed multiple roms and we all are quite impressed. That would be enough for me, but I understand your feelings too. You have a life and don't want to spend it setting up a rom.

He has a one click method to remove system apps, a color changer for all types of things, great theme support and ... well the one thing that is really keeping me here other that battery life is the speed of this. The phone is responsive as I've never seen it even when OC on CM7 to 1.4. It's worth a try, it really is worth the time.

I'm done, I won't bother you any more. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
