Try momentandroid's tip on Spare Parts and compatibility mode - I've got tv.com going full-screen now (aside from the 4:3 letterbox for the Star Trek episode I've pulled up to test it - but - it's full top-to-bottom, same as the Evo).

And it's playing clearer than it ever did on the Evo - no compression artifacts or grotesquely odd frame skips (ok, frame skips are VERY minor for this sort of thing).

So what exactly is the reason for so many of the popular apps (weather channel, shazam, yellow pages and more) not showing up at all? Or is it just me
 
Very interesting thread. Good info for potential Evo 3D buyers like myself.

Hopefully within a month or two this will be a non-issue as developers fix their apps for the Evo 3D.
 
How about the weather on the lockscreen? I am in TX and the high temps are now about 100-102. When I press the power button, the weather animation starts and it initially shows the temp (101), but once the animation finishes, the leading '1' goes off screen! So, it shows a temp of '01'!
Sheeeeeeeeeesh!
 
Photostitch...I haven't had a good stitch yet (2D mode). I loved that app on my old phone.

A few other camera apps give a FC, sorry can't recall which ones.
 
Not taking up the entire screen for me either (Radar Now, even after zoom). One thing to question though...I have compatibility mode unchecked in spare parts to try to fix this (and other) apps. I assume Early does too.

TheHoodedClaw - Do you have Spare Parts installed, and if so, compatibility mode checked or unchecked (if you don't have it installed, it's on, or checked if you had Spare Parts installed).

I'd just try it myself, but it's charging in the other room with the sleeping fiance. Whoops.

For me, after starting the application, I hit the plus key, which makes the radar view expand. If I remember right, it fills the screen horizontally, but because of proportions, doesn't fill the screen vertically.

Added after seeing additional post... I am not using spare parts. I generally like to keep life simple by leaving my phone near stock! :)

I was mostly smirking to myself when I posted the above, but in fact I was taken in by a change. In fact, the dark borders are still there, I was ignoring them because of the zoom created by pushing the "plus", and what I expected to see. :o I'm not gonna revert to the earlier version to compare, but I believe the zoom is somehow larger than the earlier version on the 3D, but it still is definitely not full screen, even on just one axis.
 
How do you diable Sense caller ID...Im using Full Screen Caller ID,but when I get a incoming call it always goes to HTC Sense caller ID screen..I dont know ...maybe this program is not supported yet for the 3D
 
Bizarre app. The free version only exists to give a way to pay thru paypal instead of the Market.

App says to use YouTube instructions, but doesn't list the link in the Market - maybe that's on Market web version.

Noted comment that said this isn't working right on the 3vo, so I think it's best to move this to the unworking app thread.

Looks cool if you can get it working tho.
 
the old skype beta that would make a call to connect instead of doing it over data is cut short on the qhd. i still use it cause the voice quality is better.
