Live Backgrounds

As cool as live backgrounds are to show off to friends, I can't bring myself to using them again after jumping from 6h of battery life to 12h by turning them off.

i've sideloaded driod 2, city at night and driod x live wallpapers. All free and work nice. I just use them to show off to all the ifruity users. Went to a party last night & about half the people that had phones were iphone users. I pulled out my captivate and played a video i shot at the doctors office of my daughter getting her shots......people were like...."That's a huge screen"!!!!

I was like....."Yup....got rid of the iphone for this bad boy. Samsung Captivate....Remember that name".

AndWobble is kind of fun to show off, but you have to get the paid version to be able to change the wallpaper which is kind of a bummer. Only 99 cents, but still.

Save battery, don't use live wallpapers..

I don't really understand this. I've never had a live wallpaper use more than 2% of my battery. If 2% is making or breaking your experience, then fine...but having an extra 2% more time at the end of my battery life is not a game changer for me. The live wallpapers bring me far more joy than that 2% ever will.

So, people keep saying live wallpaper kills the battery....How can that be? I'm assuming LW doesn't "run" when the screen is locked or an app is in the foreground. I spend very little time on the home screen, so would LW still be a battery killer?
