Root live wallpaper picker

I accidentally deleted my live wall paper picker on my rooted htc evo 4g (rooted with rootevo4ggingerbread).I found the live wallpaper picker apk but when I tried to install it it would say application failed to install.I can't use any live wallpaper now :secruity:.Please help me and give full instructions on how to re-install this apk!! Thank you to all those who respond:adore:!!!!! I am running gingerbread 2.3.3. I am new to all this rom stuff sorry

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!
did you make a nandroid backup? if so you can just restore it. what rom are you on? you can always wipe dalvik cache and cache and re-flash the rom. it will not wipe data so your settings and stuff will be safe and it will add your live wallpapers back.
 
Thank you ocnbrze and brianvillage5!!! I know this sounds strange and funny but I have no clue what rom I am using . I know I rooted though lol. I am just now learning about roms and kernels. I know I used rootevo4ggingerbread when I rooted . I am not even sure if I made a nandroid backup to be honest.I rooted over a year ago and I have been a little apprehensive to install roms after learning my friend bricked his phone.I am learning though lol. Thank You so very much for the help!!!! I hope I don't offend you all by wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year's!!!!!!

it is really super hard to brick phones. and it is super easy to flash roms and such. i would go here: http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all...ooting-dummies-guide-gingerbread-edition.html skip the rooting part and head on down to the after root section for some really good info.

do you know what recovery you have? if you have clockwork mod then i would suggest that you switch recovery to amon ra 2.3. instructions can be found in the guide.

also in the guide is how to flash a rom. and as far as what rom to flash? i would recommend that you flash mikg3.11. it can be found here: http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-all-things-root/618281-list-utilities-apps-roms-kernels-og-evo.html. skip down to the staff picks. you will want to download the full wipe version.

do not forget to make a nandroid backup.

now all this is just a suggestion.

unfortunately, i'm not sure exactly where the live wallpaper apk is located on stock (which i'm guessing you are on). you can try what brianvillage5 suggested. if you need help with that let us know.
