I wasn't too sure where to put this as I'm currently on a custom ROM (Omega 4.2.2) but I also had the same issue on root box 4.2.2 too, so am unsure if its something connected to jelly bean as this didn't happen on ICS.
By default I have location access switched to off but every other day or so the GPS icon will pop up in the notification bar. Sure enough going to settings shows location access and use GPS both set to on. So I switch off and all is OK for a while.
I don't know if an apps permissions are overruling my setting. Anyone else had this.
P.s. I am also using dorimanx 9.13 kernel. Thanks
