Root Location bug, um bugging me...

Ok so for some reason my location on my phone keeps moving me to Portland... I'm in AZ. I have it set up to find location with GeoLocation. Not sure what the problem could be as I don't see a WiFi or Cell Antenna from Portland being able to communicate with my phone. This is effecting everything that uses location (Maps, Beautiful Widgets, Juice Defender, etc.).

I am running CM 6 rc1 and the Droid X theme. I just noticed it yesterday and I haven't had the problem before. Any ideas guys?

not sure what to tell you other than make a backup then wipe everything including /system then do a fresh install of unthemed CM6 and see if the problem still exists. If not slowly bring back your apps and theme to find if the problem is caused by anything or if it was just a weird bug.

Hmmmm... Ok so more testing done and it seems to only happen when I am out on the porch of my apartment... Very weird, everywhere else it is correct, however it seems to think my apartment porch is in Portland... O.o

obviously the door to your porch is a wormhole to portland

That is what I'm thinking... hmmm now I'm going to have to find a new priest and an old priest...

Maybe I'm holding the phone wrong? Anyone have Job's number so I can ask?

Hm. I wonder how it's getting your location. DNS server or maybe tower triangulation. Seems weird that it would get it that wrong.
