Help Lock Screen Unlock Bug

LunchBB

Android Enthusiast
I just noticed this, if I have an legacy app running (while you can see the 3 dots on the bottom right of the screen), press the power button to lock the phone. Then press the power button again. At the lock screen, there is the same 3 dots on the bottom right. Tap on it will unlock the phone.

Does everybody experience the same?

I use WidgetLocker for my unlock screen. I tried it, and it does not unlock on it the way you said. I'll let someone else try that doesn't have it on. If it's a big problem for you, try that app. It comes in handy, anyway.

it does the same for me. If I hit the power button to turn the phone off while still in an app...when I hit the power button again, it goes to the lockscreen, and I can touch the menu button (3 little dots) from the lockscreen and go right back into the app. Phandroid app is one of those....

It actually behaves this way when using all the legacy apps before locking the screen with the power button. How in the world nobody at google notice that... :/

I noticed this a while ago. I don't consider it a security issue though, because it only works if you have the slide to unlock active. If you switch to a pin, pattern, or face unlock, it won't work.
