Root Locked Bootloader Question?

[waxlrose]

So I'm trying to decide Incredible and X. I'm really comparing every option I can so I can get the best phone for me.

I've been reading the bootloader is locked down, and people complaining about it. But I also see there are custom roms. So wouldn't the only issue of the bootloader be that it would make you unable to load roms?

It's not that I plan on loading any other roms, but I would like to have the option if I could.

you can load roms on both phones. but due to the locked bootloader, you can't run custom kernels on the X like you can on the Incredible.

Both are great phones (i have owned and used both)

I only prefer the X due to it's size of the screen (it's great)

The incredible is still a great phone and has pretty much identical specs as the X
