Help Locked (oow)

So, I went to bed last night and forgot to plug my phone (first generation htc evo) in. I wake up this morning to my surprise phone is dead. I plug it in, turn it on, then I get the ***Locked (oow)*** thing and I don't know how.

It won't allow me to move to any options either.

I was looking online and wasn't trying to root it. I just went to be and woke up to this. I've had this phone for 2 years almost.

Thanks!

Greetings!! and welcome.
Well, I guess I would try to shut it down, either with the power button, or pull battery...leave it off and try to charge it for a while. See if the orange "charge" light comes on and try to turn it on after an hour or so.
How old is the battery?

Thanks for the Welcome!

I just tried that and now the orange light is on. It wasn't before...

The battery came with the phone two years ago.

Nice...just let it charge for a while then turn it on.
If you are going to keep phone, then maybe look into a new battery..:)

Edit: the screen that you first saw with the "locked oow" was your bootloader screen.
You make selections with the volume up/down buttons and press power to select but you said you couldn't do that. No need to worry about that screen for now anyways. Just fyi. :)

Okay, thanks so much.

Are you aware of this happening before with other people.
