Help Lockscreen notifications

Is there a way to disable the new lockscreen notifications that came with 2.2.1? Because I use Handcent the text messages wont go away until I open Android messeges. Missed phone called and emails won't go away if I just use the pull down bar I have to actually go into the call log and emails. So does anyone know how to get rid of or disable it?

No need to flood the forum with new threads asking the same question over and over. If someone knows the answer they'll be more than happy to answer it for you in the original thread you started on the subject.

Actually its more then just Handcent now. Its the call logs, emails and anything else that shows up in my notification bar....Thats why I started a new thread.

i am having the same problem on my lg optimus
and i also use handcent, and the "1 new message" logo
wont go away until i open android messaging, and it really bugs me...
someone please help!!

Well maybe go into the normal messenger turn off notifications, then turn it off and back on?

I downloaded an app GOTO for it. It's $2 but its awesome and really customizable....plus it doesn't show the stupid 1 message!

Actually its more then just Handcent now. Its the call logs, emails and anything else that shows up in my notification bar....Thats why I started a new thread.

I just downloaded widgetlocker lockscreen and it helped fully customizable problem solved!

I was getting double messages with Handcent also, even with all the notifications turned off on the stock message app. I finally uninstalled Handcent and switched to Chomp. Problem solved.
