Help Looking for a color match app

Does anyone know of an app that would tell me the rgb or hex code of a color that I click on? I would love to use it to match my minimalist text widgets to my wallpaper

most image editing programs will let you select a color and tell you what the color code is. If you don't have Photoshop or Fireworks or anything like that just post your wallpaper and I'll tell you what the color codes are.

Hell, you can even back into the color with MS Paint. Open the wallpaper, click on the eye dropper tool, select the color from the wallpaper. Go to the top and click on "colors", "edit colors", then choose "define custom colors" - you'll see that your selected color will appear and the RGB numbers will be displayed below.

I don't know if there is anything app-wise that will do it.

For your phone, no idea, but if you take a screen shot and open the image on your computer, you can use Instant Eyedropper. It turns your cursor into a floating description of each pixel you scroll over. You can do it in rgb or hex and a few others I don't recall. It's actually pretty cool. I usually use Paint to open the image, blow it up 200% and scroll to the specific area to see what colors to match! You can Google it...

There's a great little program that is free called Color Cop. I got it from ZDNet Downloads section.

Great little program. It will give you either pinpoint HEX Code or the average of an area.

I use it almost every day (graphics and web guy here.) Good luck!

If you take a screenshot you may not actually capture the exact colors. You will get a close color, but it won't be exact. If that matters.

It doesn't have to be exact. The widgets are at the bottom of the screen, the color I wanted then to match is at the top of the wallpaper. I'm not ocd.
