Looking for an android

R

Hi,

I have just joined in the hope of understanding what type of android I want to get; I am looking for one to that I can use in both the US and Europe.

Chris.

Hey Rapture!! If you are going to be a world traveler, your best bet would be to get an android phone from ATT or T-Mobile as they have GSM radios, which are also used in Europe.

I recommend you first go to the perspective carriers to look over which android phones they have, then get more info in the phone's section. Just off the top of my head? I'm going to say Nexus One, but take a look!

Welcome!

Steven

I hear there is a really good one serving aboard the Enterprise. It works pretty much everywhere in the galaxy but you need to take out a hefty Data plan ;).

Seriously, make sure whatever you get is unlocked and work with the GSM frequencies of the countries where you intend to be using it.

I decided upon the N1 and received it today after having bought it on Sunday. My wife is taking it with her to Italy this week so we'll have a trial run at using it there. In the meantime my wife is having too much fun playing with it...

Hi and welcome to Android Forums!

There should be a new member section in the forums dedicated to people who are married to share one piece of advice...get your wife one too! :D

Enjoy!
