With my limited knowledge level, I'm pretty sure it's what gives you the ability to change the look of the notification bar and all the info listed on it, ie battery meter, signal bar, etc.
Yeah my boot animation took a solid 5 minutes, maybe a hair over. Not that abnormal though for a fresh install of this caliber. We're talking bout a 154 Mb zip and that's the dodexed version.

Only done 1 update so far and it flew. Wouldn't doubt though if it happens later. I was glad that at least all my apps showed up properly. So far I see basically zero differences from Frankenrom...pretty much what I expected.
Google Voice Search is only thing I've had to update from the market since my install and it downloaded and installed OK. I was able to restore everything else from my Titanium Backup
I will say that the CPU seems to be doing a little better job ramping down perhaps. Still early to tell but it seems to be juicing a little more stable when powered up. Be nice if we saw at least SOME increase in battery life.
