As I sit at my computer and stare at this blank slate of a message, I am compelled to let you know this is not me asking for ANY thing, I cannot seem to find the words to say this but I will be blunt. This is to inform you all... I have had my phone stolen...

I cannot find it and know the a** that stole/sold it, I am not getting Betsy back... I had no protection for lockscreen/pin or any security... As I was working on my newest theme. And as an obvious reaction to these events I can no further be of assistance to this community.... I have to get myself through college and I cant afford food...

I am not okay with leaving these threads as I believe I may still have assistance to some degree.

As for the people that have give me more insight than I could even begin to describe...I am ashamed to even be writing this.

Thank you Wetbiker, J6remy, Bloodawn, Slayer, inigomontoya, Guspeed, Cwhatever, SKATER 187 (for making the ROM that made me root), Shabbypenguin and everyone else I missed.

Thank you WetBiker!! For giving me the Boost number... (I never called from other than 611) At least they can't use the service!! It's OFF!!
 
Dais, report it stolen. I'm pretty sure that Boost can kill the phones I D. As for being a student, I know exactly what you mean being one myself.

if you need a phone I have somewhere around my house an old Motorola clutch i475 from boost ready to be activated, was my 2nd phone from boost.
If you want I'll send it to you, just pm me your address and it's yours.

I'll pay the shipping Gus if he wants it. Just lemme know and I can shoot it to you through paypal or just mail it. Mailing it would save the paypal fee and probably be the better way.
 
if you had installed lookout from the market you could have locked it from your computer and track it with gps. you could also make it scream even if you had it in silent mode. i thought i had lost mine 2 days ago but it was in my car. after that i installed lookout. i already had it on my transformer prime and it works good. you can also wipe all your data if lost or stolen. but you should report it stolen to boost. they will stop who ever has it from activating it.

Yep, you know that they say about hindsight though. Always 20/20. No one really ever expects to get their phone stolen. Probably 80% of us that have these anti-theft apps will never really need them except to locate their phone lost in the car or under a sofa cushion.



EDIT: No doubt. Send Plan B to your phone via the market on your computer.
 
Truly sorry to hear that unfortunate news. Maybe you could report it to boost and file a report. I use avast with the built in antitheft
 
hands down everyone should go install cerberus on their phones right now, its installable via the market but i recommend going to their site and using the flashable hidden zip, it keeps it hidden. it can do all sorts of things, allows up to 5 devices for lifetime membership of 1.99 :)

I checked that Site out Shabby and I may install that on my new phone when I get it. SeekDroid has the option to hide the app from the website too but can still be wiped in CWM if the person knows what they're doing.
 
Sherri, LordVincent and Shabbypenguin all have great solutions to this issue. Hopefully Plan B or Cerberus can be of great assistance in getting back your Prevail. If not(especially if it was sold)you could take up Guspeed on his kind offer.

i have avg installed.
i dont know how it stacks up to the others but its got the location bs on it as well as the virus bs if anyone is looking at this thread for suggestions/alternatives.
