Hi
Yesterday I allowed my Desire to update several apps - GoogleMaps, GoogleSky, and Barcode reader. I also downloaded the Spotify music player, but deleted it when I realised that mobile spotify needs a monthly subscription.
I later found that the Android camera would not work, giving a message of 'unable to save file to SD card due to insufficient file permissions'.
Photos on the camera are no longer visible.
In case this might help, I deleted the updated Barcode reader since that does use the camera, although not save files as far as I know.
I connected to my laptop with Windows Explorer, and found that the folder DCIM where pics are stored was empty. I also noted that its properties were 'read only' and attempted to change this property which was surely wrong. But the change did not stick.
Anyone have any idea where I can go from here. The photos (only a few) seem to have vanished, unless I can use one of those programs that find stuff that has been deleted.
I suppose I could try removing the DCIM folder, and then replace it with one renamed the same.
Thanks for your wisdom.
Best wishes
Tony
