Root Lost root after using root tools?

seossenk

Lurker
It appears that after using Root Tools program to move my cache files to the sdcard that I have lost root somehow.

Titanium Backup, Wireless Thether, etc will not get root access even with permissions granted.

I tried to reroot my EVO 4G phone using unrevoked 3 and remove/reinstall wireless Thether and that did not work.

What do I need to do?

It seems as though root priveleges are just completly gone.

I've looked through other threads with no luck.

welcome to the forums!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
do you have s-off? do you have a custom recovery? if you do on both then you still have root access. go into your app drawer do you have the superuser app? if you do go into it and allow access to titanium back up and wireless tether. most likely they were denied superuser access some how.

Yes, I have s-off and I have ClockworkMode Recovery v2.6.0.1 installed. I have superuser app currently installed but it will not allow access to other apps. I tried to update to new version and it failed to install because it can not get root access.

Ah!!! You're still rooted! So you're good there. Click on the superuser app and make sure your permissions are set to allow on the apps you're trying to run. If they're set to allow and you're still not able to run those apps, do a full wipe and reflash the ROM you're currently on or another rooted ROM and you should be gtg.

before you re-flash you can just click on the apps that are listed in super user and it should change from deny to allow. if that does not work then just re-flash like frenchy recommends.
