What do I need to do before I run sunshine on this new phone? It's got 4.4.4 on it. I down loaded super su. It's asking for binary. M8
Follow along with the video below to see how to install our site as a web app on your home screen.
Note: This feature may not be available in some browsers.
Going directly to Sunshine, then installing TWRP, then nandroid backup, then install new rom is better. Fewer steps.
ARHD (Android Revolution HD) does not include the HK firmware, but they give a link to the dreaded firmware update thread to get it.
That's not the best way.
For the Lollipop ARHD, this is -

Install after ARHD.
Includes a number of HK library enhancements and bug fixes.
(And yes, that's me in the credits lol.)
If you ever want to try a KitKat rom, let me know and I'll link you to the KitKat HK installer.
I'll try it again but it stopped and said some binaries were neededYou don't need anything.
Just get it and go.
Remove the SuperSU so it doesn't get confused.
Exactly that.
You don't need any sort of root before going to Sunshine.
Only install SuperSU for the first time from TWRP.
You can do that instead of installing ARHD.
Check out "Forums for Android™"Question about forum reply notification settings.....is it possible to get audible alerts set up on your phone?
Hmm, come across this before on G+ and think this newer version of Sunshine doesn't use temp root anymore.
Would like one of the others to confirm this is the case though, first before I lead you down a unnecessary path lol
You might need to install TWRP and then flash SuperSU from recovery. I forget, you're not on Verizon are you?
OK Mon I'll give it a try! You must be a busy guy! Thanks for your help! I muchly appreciate it!Here's @scotty85 guide to the proper way to root an M8.
You already have the site Mini-SDK, his is the same, just creating a different folder than I did.
Follow his guide, but substitute using the sdk-tools folder instead of his. You already know how to get a command window to sdk-tools tools anyway.
I'll be back, post back if any issues.
I'll be around at my desk a little later and will be happy to help with a walk through.OK Mon I'll give it a try! You must be a busy guy! Thanks for your help! I muchly appreciate it!

Right now, I'm in parts of the desert where the signal comes and goes, I'm mostly just posting fluff here and there, so I hoped that link could jump start you if you want to give it a go.![]()
