M9 presale announced by HTC

KOLIO, have you been able to see if T-Mobile Wifi calling works? I assume the answer is no, but it would be nice to confirm.

Cool, I'm very interested to find that out myself. I'll have to do the same because I only have a micro sim currently.

Just got mine..Woot

Wow, compared to the M8, /system is huge, but the M9 only traded 2 GB of /data to do that.

Looks like there's a lot more under the hood with the M9.

Some of that difference could be 5.0 vs 4.4, though 2GB does seem a bit much for a software update. I'm sure someone has already dumped the ROM by now in order to compare.

I've only seen HTC change a partition size once in five years on the same model.

Sense 6 / 5.0.1 fits comfortably within the M8 spare.

The new partition size here is a big difference. Sense 7 plus whatever else they tucked away takes more than the previous total available.

My M9 just finished activating and now Wi-Fi calling is available in the settings menu. -Sprint

...Was a pain activating. Tried auto and it failed, called in and both reps I spoke to (before I gave up) told me the M9 was unavailable to activate.

Took it into the store and they activated it. Employees liked seeing it. Apparently they have not even had a demo phone yet.

Here's the Developer Edition,w/extremely minimal user data:

Interesting, considering KOLIO didn't have it available on the dev version.

Not a surprise given how much trouble users of the Nexus 5 and Nexus 6 had from ordering them on Google Play and trying to activate on Sprint so close to launch.

Looks like a busted link?

Yep, much better. Looks like the dev version has 131.6 MB less data being used on the system partition than the Sprint Version, but the partition mapping is the same.

I deleted the FACEBOOK app,it was exactly 138 MB.
I don't know if that is a coincidence, but, that screenshot was taken after I deleted FACEBOOK.
Hadn't done much else w/the phone at that time.
