I guess a few things have changed since I was last on the M8:
HTC 's Browser & SENSE TV are in the PlayStore.
Pretty sure they were pre-installed on the M8.
Choice is good,but,it wouldn't hurt my feelings if both of these were pre-installed.
Just ask my NOTE 4,it plays real nice w/BLINKFEED & HTC Browser.

I was hoping I didn't have to do a factory reset since I had already put several apps on my phone via computer to phone. But I called Google Play and you go under apps and find download manager clear data go to Google Play Store and clear Data than go to Google something next to play store under apps and clear cache in that order now my play store works. I was told if it happens again do the same thing and if it happens more than 3 times contact HTC that it is an HTC thing but most people say this fixes it for good.

That's a random Play Store error going around.

Some have fixed it with a factory data reset.

I've yet to see it, it keeps cropping up on my wife's phone.

Mine originated just south of yours,from Plainfield,IN.
FED-EX,just as yours, but,I'm quite impatient & opted for overnight A.M.,made it here in 12 hrs,start to finish.

Some of that difference could be 5.0 vs 4.4, though 2GB does seem a bit much for a software update. I'm sure someone has already dumped the ROM by now in order to compare.

You know - I must be asleep upstairs because I predicted this months ago.

It's a 64-bit version of the operating system.

Of course the /system is going to significantly larger than the 32-bit version in the M8 and others.
