Just updated my Droid X yesterday and saw the madden pre installed. Let me say first between this update and Launcherpro update my phone is perfect and havent had any problems at all. But on to Madden, I played the demo a couple of times, loved it, then bought it. Anyone else like this game, I think EA Sports did a really great job on it.

I really like it, I bought the full game this morning.
 
Just downloaded the update..seems great so far except madden is literally taking hours to download. Happen to anyone else? What do I do

I started it five hours ago and last saw it at 20%. Then it obviously quit because I went back to see and said I still needed to download extra content. If they put an app in an update they should really put the ENTIRE app.
 
I dont mind the game, just the fact verizon shoved this down our throat an no way to remove the crapware unless we root the phone. For that reason, I shall now forever hate the game.
 
And I failed to mention that I watched it in the beginning raise 1% then go back to 0 for about a half an hour
 
Tried to download it for a few hours with no luck on Friday (got hung up at 30%). Tried again on Saturday and it was done in less than 10 minutes. I haven't played it much yet.
 
This makes me really jealous, I had some visitors at my work last week and one of them just kept playing in front of me. Makes me wish I had my Droid X again.
 
I am not a real gamester. I downloaded the demo version via WiFi without a problem. My only problem is figuring out how to play it. It's a bit complicated for me.
 
Is this the full game, or some type of demo? I don't want the download of "additional content" unless this thing is worth playing.

You can play the game with the demo. You just can't access all the features. For example, you are limited to only a couple of the NFL teams.
It does give you a chance to play the game and see if it's for you. For me, the game play was a bit too complicated, but then I don't generally play these sports game simulations.
 
Madden on this phone is a sick joke being played on you. Seriously, its an ancient version ported to this platform with updated players. Compare this to the Madden 2011 and come back and tell me its playable :)
 
Its very playable and enjoyable for me. But then I'm rational enough not to expect it to look like the ps3 version!:confused:
