Major Flaw with Pattern Lock or How to Brick your Droid

I have since found out how to do the Hard Reset that should fix the problem but I am not going to try on my phone.

Please HELP! ok i just bought this phone about a month ago now after being out on may long weekend and having my last one jacked, my b/f 13 year old was messing with it and now im locked out its going on day 5 since its been locked, its asking me for my e-mail and password on this acer liquid so i do so and its just loading it will NOT let me go back to the pattern lock as to where i know the swipe code so for days its giving me any other option but to punch in my e-mail addy and pass how do you do a reset on the phone that has no keybord? and yes i tryed the e-mail and putting in "null" for password..... i took battery out and the rogers thinger and sd card i pushed the little button under the battery witch only turns off and on the phone, i turned the dam thing on and off for 5 days now and nothing it just sits in a loading screen... does it matter if you turn off the settings for internet? this is all new to me and i dont know what to do with the thing...... im assuming you need the internet on the phone for it to work? as im seeing as a serching thing after putting in my information? please i need a step by step help i did everything i think that needed to be done...
 
hey guys... hm i think i have a little complicated problem like 5 mins before my dumb friend messed up my pattern i have turned of mobile connection does someone knows how reset the lg optimus tnx in beforehand

Okay everyone here is a TRUE Challenge, how do you hard Reset a DROID PRO? I tried power on with the x button (keyboard always open as it is the Blackberry killer). HOWEVER:

I just got this phone from a friend who was on Verizon and switched to the iPhone4 (72 y/o attorney). He had me do a factory reset to clear his information, but phone was not ROOTED. Now when I start it up it goes to the activation screen, and I wanna Root it and Flash it. HELP A BROTHER OUT!

I have the Android SDK and when I link it to my PC I get the Moto(something) that runs, but I can't see the root directory. HELP ME (without Bricking) GET IN THIS PHONE'S HEAD!!!!

OKAY UPDATE: I went to YouTube, watched how to Hard Reset a Droid Pro R+M+Power, but that just lets you reset the phone, not get around Activation. So, more YouTube and I found if you tap (starting w/upper left) all four corners, like twice in a row, it bypasses the Activation screen. Then I downloaded z4 root 1.3.0 to my computer, USB it onto the Droid and VOILA I have a rooted Droid Pro, that will only connect to WiFi but cannot text or anything else since no service is connected.

NOW - Who knows how to Flash a Droid Pro to Cricket?
